Tazer JL and ForceRWD!!

Ok... switched on the ForceRWD option and I love it!! The steering is less "forced" and you can break the rear tires free just flooring it from a stop, even with traction control on. LOL

That feature alone made the Tazer worth the money. (y)
I'm not seeing this option on my menu. Any idea why not?

Two ways to do/set Force RWD... One way is in Live Settings (Engine Running) first option in this sub-menu will be "Brake Hold", scroll on through the next 11 options until you come to 0-30 & 0-60 timer, "Force RWD" will be the next option after those two. When selected the AWD indicator will turn off or flicker. This setting will be remembered the next time you start the vehicle until you go back in and turn OFF the Force RWD. The other method is to use the "Button Remap" under the "Non-Menu Live Functions". When the dash is in Audio mode, press the RIGHT Arrow button and press the button you would like to remap and toggle through the choices. Buttons that can be remapped are SET-, RES & SET+. Remap choices are any of the light shows, Backup camera, TC Kill, Line lock, Rock Crawl, Turn Assist, Winch Mode, Cooldown, Locker choices, SwayKill, Dark Mode and Force RWD. Once re-mapped, the buttons will only activate the choice you made when the dash is set to Audio mode. For instance to engage Force RWD, go to Audio Mode then press the button you reprogrammed for this function to engage the option. Once you come out of audio mode or turn the engine off the Force RWD will revert to AWD until going through the same process to engage it again.

With button remapped to the minus button mine will go into 2wd regardless of the menu currently in.

I appreciate your time. I get 0-30 and 0-60 and then the next step is blank and then it starts over to light show.

Probably need to update firmware. They have versions and features added on their site. Did not always include force rwd.

Good to hear!! My experience with turn assist & cooldown has been they will only work for me when the dash is set to the Audio mode. Haven’t tried it with Force RWD. I use the first option I detailed in my post for that. Gonna have to try it with the remap buttons. With only three buttons available it’s hard to decide which functions you want them mapped to.

Completely agree. And if I dont use them often I will forget which features I have set to buttons.

Sounds like a question for the Z-Automotive help desk. I’ve found them to be very responsive to the question I posed which was “when will the Tazer Mini firmware be updated with the ability to adjust the governor settings”. Received a swift and firm response that it wouldn’t be.😢😢

10-4..I would LOVE that feature btw! I understand why it's there though. Got to keep the Darwins listers alive 🤣

That was my guess as well... they (Jeep) didn't think people could handle all the power to just two wheels... spinning cookies in a parking lot
I love this. We always called it “Doing donuts”.

We used to pour bleach on our tires before we did it. Who knows if it helped. Who cares. Lol.

Those were the days.
