Sudden tiny hole in tire on highway

I was playing video games at a childhood friend's house. We had a lamp next to us without the shade (exposed light bulb) providing illumination. He sneezed in the direction of the lamp and his saliva made the light bulb explode. Pieces of glass went in one of his eyes. I felt a few pieces hit me on my arms and chest. Gladly, he didn't lose his eye, but a few glass pieces had to be removed by the doctors. Freak accidents do occur.
That is definitely a “freak” accident. I’m not sure Myth Busters could re-create it.

Well, as an adult I decided to try and see if I could replicate it (funny how some events in our life affect us later on). I grabbed a lamp with a 60W incandescent light bulb(I don't know what wattage ours was or anything about that light bulb), took it outside, turned it on, safety glasses on, allowed about 10 min for it to get hot, and sprayed it with water mist.

It shattered into pieces, but didn't explode like I remember happening as a kid. Maybe the glass is improved or incandescent light bulbs don't run as hot as they did decades ago.

I’m glad I didn’t challenge you to re-create the scene in A Christmas Story where Ralphie freezes his tongue to the sign post. 🥶

Yeah. Apparently you can’t patch a sidewall. Crazy!
Sure you can, have done it for years. New ideas say you can't repair a sidewall, why?
A small pin hole like that, a simple inside patch and you're good to go. If it were a cut or tear, would be different. However good luck getting a tire shop to patch it when they can sell you a new tire.
Oh, you'll hear "liability"..how convenient.

Actually....let me put it this way, I can barely taste sweet foods. Lol.

J/k

It's been holding up ok?

sold it couple of weeks after to get a TRX. 2 weeks later tire was holding air tho
I was looking at TRXs and 392s at a major car dealer in Orlando. The lowest price of a new TRX was $102K and $97K for a new 392. If I try to trade in my 2021 Wrangler 392 (with only 2,400 miles), what do think I can expect to get for it, assuming they don’t want to discount their TRXs?

I have both 2022 TRX and 2023 392. I got my TRX brand new from Granger for 68k and my 2023 XR with everything but one touch for 82k . TRX is a base but after I had a top trim Raptor I realized the most important feature is the engine which comes standard on all trims and everything else is just fluff I dont care about. That said market is going down but if you want to trade i'd rather place an order for a TRX from Granger or Mark in Louisiana and just trade the 392. Meanwhile you have about 4 months before TRX will be ready to pick up so you could start looking for private sale. If it doesnt pan out just trade it when time comes. Good luck to you.
