Shots fired...Shots fired...

That sucks, did they replace the TC before?
Nah, first replacement. I'll take it back to dealer I guess.
Lights gone now after a restart but I'm sure it'll be back

I had scheduled an appointment to service my 23-year-old 392 model. Before I could bring it in for service, the SERV-4WD warning light came on. I had the car towed, and the service center informed me that the steering damper and the T-Case needed to be replaced. They offered to replace the damper with an AEV damper for $375 or order the part from Jeep along with the T-Case at no cost. I requested them to cover the labor cost due to a previous issue with the damper on my 19-year-old Wrangler, which was covered by a quality program from Jeep. They agreed, and I paid for the upgraded part. However, the SERV-4WD light is on again.

The AEV damper is like $120 with simple install…

Did they replace the T-case with a new one?

More and more people with the same issue... hopefully Stellantis pulls their finger out and does a recall or fix or something

This may be in your future. If my stock tc ever goes this is what I'll replace it with:

Best of luck!

As others Indicated, hopefully you only paid $121 for the damper

So, 2 days of hard rock crawling at the "Great American Crawl" in 4L for 8 hours per day and Jeep running for 14+hours per day. I didn't have a single issue with the TC or Steering. I fully expected to come home on a trailer with a blown TC.

Several in our group had some body damage and a few lines were pulled. Almost everyone but me were on 40s. The baby 392 came out unscathed and never pulled a line.

I think 40s are going to end up on mine as I was like a knuckle dragging monkey all weekend long.

If you are thinking about an Atlas transfer case you should get one on order. I ordered mine form Advanced Adapters 30 April 24 and the shipping date keeps getting delayed. My new shipping date of 9 October 24. You call and place the order and they don't collect money until they are ready to ship it. I'm just hoping my holds up until I can install my new Atlas. I've had the service 4WD light with binding a couple of times. After it sits for a few hours it's back to normal. My latest problem is the clutch pack getting hot and the front wheels quit pulling. But once again after it sets for a few hours it's back to normal. I've changed the transfer case oil 3 times but doesn't seen to help. I haven't had in particles in the oil but it has been very black in color. I currently have 10,000 miles on my 2021 392.

Looks good👍. I see you haven’t removed that rock smasher in back of passenger tire. That was one of my first projects ,and then gorilla tape up those giant frame holes .
I have never hit it a single time. I always get of my grinder and think I am going to cut it off and then when I see the perfect paint on it, I just don't cut it.
