Rock Crawlers vs. Mall Crawlers

I like to go exploring in the back country. If it is someplace, I have never been then it is someplace worth going to see. I frequently go exploring solo, so I have built my Jeep to be capable of the unexpected, the washed-out road, etc., without having to turn back. There are also a number of "bucket list" trails I have wanted to do. Trails like the Rubicon, Dusy, Fordyce, Pritchet, Cliffhanger, and Holy Cross, amongst others. To go someplace like Sand Hollow or area BFE for the sole purpose of "rock crawling" isn't my thing. The trail needs to actually go someplace for it to be fun for me.

Exactly 👍

I’m 56 , after killing myself for nearly 40 years modding, going broke, breaking ,fixing, building over and over again, I’m just chillin’ with my 392 just enjoying cruising and exploring gravel North Carolina mountain roads when I can, I have a 2003 Rubi that’s almost as nice that will not be destroyed like every other Jeep or Toyota I’ve owned. I’ll get the bug again and buy/build another rock rig but for now I’m taking a break
