Is the M14 version the right one for 392 with later steel stamped oil pan?

I see you have a 2021. Steel or aluminum pan? I would not use a drain valve on the Al pan. It already hangs so low. I am getting a shorter plug for my Al pan.

Agreed. I have the steel pan.

It comes out Ft pretty easily, took it off when I did the first oil change. It is just in the way and doesn’t help with the mess. I have one of those pliable funnels that I can bend into different shapes.
