Official Bronco Raptor - Only Suspension Setup Impresses Me

I'm still really intrigued with this... and having semi-active suspension on a 392 would put it in league of it's own and Bronco Raptor folks would have zero bragging rights. A little pricey for the Pro setup, but I'm really thinking hard about this one...

That's pretty rad! This kind of active/automated versatility can't be ignored.. I'd be super interested to hear more about how, from a technical standpoint, they're accomplishing these calculations! Looks like they give decent amount of control over the parameters.

I am thinking I might try it. Even though I won't be offroading, it could make on road handling better if you can stiffen shocks to control body roll. I like how you can customize for your needs as usage changes.

*Just* the ability to have a cushy ride while limiting body roll on a turn is a huge accomplishment, I'll be watching closely for reviews by @Uncommon Sense and @YukonCornelius

I'm really curious how this "covering" works... Do you have a promise from your dealer? As with prior Ford Performance releases, I'm betting they'll be hard to come by... Still, I've got my fingers crossed. This would be a FUN garage.

It’s not clear. They don’t promise anything. I did confirm since it’s an online order, even if upgraded to the Raptor model, it will stay MSRP. If found on the lot, they would be adding 25k.

Not impressed with the flares either, but I’m going for it. 392 is mine and I’ll get the Bronco for my wife.

Love how the wheels are soooo far out from the frame like Japanese tuner cars lol, especially coming from a factory. Furthermore, it’s wider than the Raptor?!!! This thing must have quite the presence. It’ll look bad ass in person for sure. But weighing 5700 lbs… sheesh.

So I did pull the trigger and order a BRaptor. I'm one of four "Hand Raisers" at my dealership and all four chose to convert their very old Bronco orders to Raptors. Fully loaded it came in within about $200 of my 392 order that I placed over 19 weeks ago and is still in D status. Still wondering which one will win the race to my garage.

Now that I actually see the Raptor in my Ford account, this is feeling more real. As horrible as Ford has been through this entire Bronco process - I'll forgive them once a Raptor is in my garage at MSRP. Jeep could learn a few things from sharing a freakin web interface with pizza tracker build status on it.

Amazingly I just got a call last week from my dealer - the first *ever* that wasn't returning a call from me and it was to tell me the Jeep is in "D" status and offer to give me the VIN. Yeah, I got that info already. Thanks.

So I actually had a new style 21 F150 Raptor ordered. It came in after I bought a 21 TRX unexpectedly three months prior to the Raptor coming in.

I have to say the Raptor, what an overpriced piece of cheap junk. I didn’t take it and just picked up my 22 TRX.

I just got a 22 Bronco Wildtrak from an old reservation from 2 years ago. Four months into my XR 392, I can’t wait to get it. There’s nothing like the 392. Ford has been so screwed up over the last year and now shipping a ton of Broncos on storage lots with non safety feature chips which will be installed at dealer within a year.

I’ll gladly wait for the 392 and sell my completed Bronco to someone in need .

My question to those getting the Bronco -how do you get over the botched fender flairs? These are arguably the most noticeable part of the body. And not in a good way. Why did Ford think this is OK? I could live with the rest of it, though I'm not a fan of the bisected headlight grille design either. But I could get over the headlights if it wasn't for the fender flairs. Yuk.

I didn't get a "golden ticket" but I am likely getting a dealer allocation. My only thought is to order it in shadow black to mask the fenders a bit/keep them from standing out as much. I did see a manufacturer test mule running around my area with that configuration and it didn't look horrible (though "not looking horrible" isn't a very good standard to try to live up to on a $70k+ vehicle lol)

So I'll start this by again stating that I am NOT a Bronco hater and was eagerly awaiting the Raptor version, but yes, those fenders are just too much. That being said, I don't really get the hype: Really, is it THAT new?

And the headlights that everyone raves about? Didn't they just kind of rearrange Jeep’s design?
