New Owner Intro (NY) | 2027 Moab 392 Daily Driver Build List and Feedback

Many other have commented and I will add to those.

By your Items list:

1. Have a Jeep dealer apply TSB-08-151-25 to lock the RF Hub, do a search on this forum for addl info. You can also accomplish this with the nolimitz module but whats bad most thieves know about it and simply unplug it, that cant be done with the TSB.
Consider a Tazer with Armored cover hidden up under the dash and use a lock code for added protection.
The only hood lock I would recommend is the integrated one that actually installed inside the hood mechanism, most of the exterior hood latch replacements can easily be defeated with a screw driver. Also, turn off passive entry if you have it this is one of the ways thieves gain access other then simply breaking a window which also works well.

2. Some will argue the point but a catch can isn't really needed on a Hemi, Just use top tier gasoline.
Consider also a Nolimitz to disable the MDS and the Tazer will allow you to configure options that you wont normally have like forced 2wd and a whole bunch of other stuff.

3. Mopar Performance Extended LCA, this is an option well worth the money and time to install. The 1/4" extra length will get the caster closer to 6 degrees and does make a noticeable difference at expressway speeds, less correcting, better wheel return and now becoming standard equipment on 2027 higher end models.

4. Headliners are a godsend especially in the heat of the summer especially with darker colors. They also help with sound deadening which every Wrangler will benefit from. One of the first things I did was UV/Heat rejection window tint, helped a great deal. I skipped the front wind shield just because of the integrated antenna as recommended by the tint applicator.

5. You might want to look into Ziebart frame protection, this not only protects the outside of the frame but the inside as well where most of the problems start to begin with. Jeep did such a poor job of protecting the frame anything you can do to keep the salt at bay especially at the welded joint will help a great deal!

Finally, Congrats and enjoy your new ride, the Wrangler 392 is really something special, very few are fortunate enough to own one!
I'm curious about the longer LCA's on '27 models comment. Where did you learn this? I have a '26 and '27 392, and I didn't noticed any on road driving differences (Admittedly, I didn't drive the '27 much, before my son took it back to his school.) Maybe I'll check with a tape measure the next weekend he comes home.

When I went to order my LCA's from the parts consultant at my dealership had mentioned the 26/27 Gladiator and Rubicons will have the longer LCA depending on build date. So, check the inside rear of the arm. If you see part no: 68322798AA these are the part numbers for the longer arms your good to go and If you see 68524199AB you have the standard length ones.
Hope that helps!
