2027 Moab 392
Hi all!

I recently placed an order for a 2027 Wrangler Moab 392 (with SOT & Vinyl Flooring) and wanted to introduce myself to the forum while waiting on the build and delivery. I am transitioning over from a 2024 Rubicon X 4xe.

I am based in NYC specifically Brooklyn. This Jeep will serve as my primary daily driver.

While I wait for the order to arrive, I am assembling my initial parts list. I would appreciate input from current owners on the plan below. Let me know what you would prioritize, what you would swap, and what you would skip entirely.

1. Security and Theft Deterrence
  • IGLA digital immobilizer
  • OBD-II port block-out lock plate
  • Keyed center hood lock
2. Powertrain and Electronics
  • Oil catch can (J&L or Billet Technology) to reduce blow-by on the 6.4L Hemi intake valves.
  • Tazer JL Mini for tire calibrations, disabling auto start-stop, and managing vehicle electronics.
3. Steering and Alignment
  • Mopar longer front lower control arms (LCAs)
4. Interior and Cabin Comfort
  • Hothead Headliners / Skyliner package to manage thermal heat and cut down cabin resonance.
  • High heat rejection ceramic window tint, including the windshield.
5. Exterior and Protection
  • Body Armor 4x4 hitch skid to guard the rear bumper and exhaust tips against parallel parking impacts.
  • Lanolin undercarriage coating (Fluid Film or Woolwax) before winter road salt hits.
For those using their 392 as a regular driver: are there any immediate must-haves missing here, or anything on this list that proved redundant in practice?

Thank you everyone in advance!

Welcome. You'll definitely enjoy it. A number of things here are ripe for debate:

-Catch can: arguably not needed on our vehicles. Your own research, experience, and ideology should drive your decision.
-IGLA: same thing here, plenty of debate on this forum about the usefulness of this vs others. At the end of the day, any deterrent that you're comfortable with is the right decision.
-hotheads: great choice
-LCA: biggest question to ask yourself is what are you using this Jeep for? If it's just your daily for the streets, this is definitely not needed. If you want it because it's cool and you have the cash, go crazy baby. The world's your oyster with Jeep mods.
-Tazer: most here have it. Great tool for your own diag, customization, and quality of life changes. Just be sure you're familiar with the pairing process. Some gremlins are known to pop up with this device (and their other NoLimitz device).

As a daily driver myself, and my adventure vehicle, a must have basic is your maintenance. 6 months or 6k miles oil service. Don't skimp on this. Plenty of ideology, opinions, anecdotal "evidence", religions, etc. on this topic. At the end of the day, it's in the manual. Also check your diff fluid levels upon delivery, some (mine included) came a little low. Check your fuses under the hood are all pushed down securely.
Most importantly, enjoy the hell out of this thing. You take care of it, it'll take care of you.

I thought the hood lock didn’t work because of the front facing camera.
