Molding for where wheel flares meet body

Just following up. How is that tubing holding up for those of you who installed it? Here is a picture of mine finally. Looking great still.

Mine are doing great, thanks. I figured out if you stretched the rubber tubing a bit, it lays in the crevasse easier and more evenly than pushing it into the crevasse with a plastic trim tool.

Yeah. Forgot to mention that. Stretching the tubing (easier if you have a helping hand) as you push it inside the crevasse, secures the tube better once you release tension.
 
Thanks for the reminder. I am picking my 392 up today and need to get this ordered.
 
Ordered mine. I noticed that crevasse. Ridiculous they made it like that. Hard to even wash. That's how I noticed it when my wash mitt didn't clean all the way down without some extra focused attention.

On another note, on amazon, the cheapest $17/25ft won't be here till mid february. Can pay twice the price and get from another vendor and have it new week. I can wait a little bit, but I have noticed while ordering stuff that so much stuff is backordered. This has got to be killing companies as they make money by selling things. These supply chain issues have the potential to get out of hand. i.e can't find parts to repair the machines that make and transport parts..... real potential for things to snowball.

I am trying to get things while I can, because it sucks to sit waiting on stuff......

Do regular Rubicons have the same issue or is this just a problem with the 392?

So, I guess Jeep heightened the wheel arch for Rubicons but still maintained the same (wheel arch to fender) attach points present on all Wranglers. From a business case, it was a smart move; but now we have a world-wide shortage of .276” black rubber tubing. :rolleyes:

Dog-gone JL Rubicons are the cause of this shortage I'm sure. :)
 
Well, shit I should have ordered a while ago. Says end of March now.
 
I tried looking for some today and you cant even order it anymore unless you pay a third party, $45 for 25 feet or 120 for $100 feet. If anyone has a some left over from buying 100 feet please let me know lol
