I’m not panicking. Just an enthusiastic using forums for what they were made for. I’ve owned many cars, trucks, and toys and meticulously maintain them all and equally use the hell out of them.Don't let one video of information force you into a panic. First off, the amount of "I think"s, and "I believe"s in that video are proof that even that fella is making assumptions not based on pure evidence alone, but his opinion.
Chances are you're going to have other issues than lifter issues. If MDS alone concerns you that much and you have the money to do so, then opt for engine work to remove MDS components. If you want to disable MDS for much less money, buy the NoLimitz.
If we go looking for problems, we're going to find them. Don't let the topic of "lifter failure" make you believe you're going to have it.
Enjoy your Jeep. Drive it for fun, keep up on oil changes every 6months or 6k miles, listen to the manual, it'll last.

Your logic about the height of the cam makes sense also.Correct in that disabling MDS will not cure the issue. I don’t think disabling it will cause issues either. Contrary to popular opinion, MDS activation does NOT reduce oiling to the lifters. During MDS activation they actually get more oil flow. Ideally, the MDS lifters would be replaced with non MDS and the solenoids replaced to allow full oil flow (MDS mode) all the time and MDS tuned out of the computer.
The real root issue is the height of the cam in the block. This results in push rods that are too near horizontal to allow excellent oil flow.
I’m getting UOA at each oil change to monitor wear metals and give advanced warning.
Baring that, I just drive it like I stole it (after allowing oil temps to reach 180, prior to that I drive like a grandma).
