I need an exhaust expert

I went to Trail Hero at Sand Hollow in Utah and ran a few hard trails. Driving home to Salt Lake City (about 4 hours) I had the soft doors on so I didn't really notice the exhaust sound, especially at 80mph. When I got home, the following morning, I installed the K&N Cold Air Intake. After the install, over the next couple of days I started realizing that the Jeep doesn't sound as loud as it normally did. I don't know if I hit something off-road to make the change or if it was something with the CAI. When you press the Performance Exhaust button the light turns on but there is no change to the sound. It's hard for me to tell but it almost sounds like half the Performance Exhaust isn't working or something.

Any ideas of what to look for before I take it to my shop?

Check the vacuum lines going to the exhaust.

Are they back by the muffler? Or up front further?
