curious to understand the problem and the reason and solution.

My ring did not come off the transfer case, there is a huge flange coming off the front differential where the driveshaft connects and that ring goes around that flange, so it is easy to scrape on a rock and knock it loose, I went with metal cloak’s front driveshaft because it was easier to order it through them with my Lift kit, but we have a local shop in San Jose and if you call them and give them the measurements they will make it for you within a day.
