Deciding between 392 and the BRaptor

I saw a Braptor for the first time in person on the highway today and that sucker is WIDE. Took up damn near the whole lane. I couldn’t imagine taking it on the tight trails we have up here in the NE. Also those fender flares look horrible IMO.

I don’t care what other people do with their lives or money, a billion to one it will never effect my life but when big companies feel the need to force this down our throats i feel a bit off put. I will continue to drive my 2020 F350 until the wheels fall off but if this social pressure BS continues I may go back to Nissan next time. I didn’t think a Bronco could look worse but I stand corrected.

I kinda wish they did the whole thing in those gold sparkles....

I don't disagree.

However, it's impossible to escape.

What the hell is that?

This is what I did, instead of a BRaptor. BRaptor is far too wide for New England trails, so I took a 2022 Badlands and had the dealer install Fox Elite DSC's front and rear, and Camburg Kinetik UCAs and rear trail links, along with an Icon track bar. Added about 2" lift, and drives better than a Raptor IMO on the 35" Falkens (could easily handle 37's though). The shocks are much better than the Wildtraks I've driven.

Anyway, with my 392 coming in a couple weeks, I'm happy to entertain conversation about selling this. If interested, DM me. It will come with dual OE tops (factory hard and soft top), the suspension upgrades just mentioned, and a classy Baja LP6/LP4 setup as shown, along with plenty of other goodies sitting in my basement.

Anyone with a 24 on order with the factory winch and plan on keeping the factory bumper but want to ditch those big bumperetts may want to order the short ones now before there is a rush on them like the XR fender flares and triple hoop grill guards. I can see those selling out quick.

What are the part numbers ?

68295558AA

68295559AA

6500911

feel free to double check those numbers but that’s what I came up with

While I AM a Ford Guy (own a 2005 Ford GT), nearly everything about the Bronco Raptor was a let down…..the list would be too long to type out on a phone.

The 392 just oozes theater from every rivet. It is just a great fun drive. One of my favorite little reminders is every time it starts up, you get that little side-to-side wiggle…..so much character

I'm leaning towards the Jeep 392 at this point, though your Bronco would be a great match for my '74 that just got new shoes over the weekend (just ordered a set of bora spacers that will be here in a few weeks)...

FIrst off- even Jeeps get stuck. So as much as I enjoy these pics showing Broncos...crap happens. I was passed by a Bronco on the trail this weekend. My husband's back was killing him so I going a little slower that normal over the rocks. I cringed thinking "hope he's not filming and posting on a Bronco forum." LOL.
But WTH? That looks like.....dirt? Flat...dirt? Why on earth did the Bronco need a strap?

Buy both 😊. We have a new bronco and 392. Jeep v8 is great for power no comparison. Bronco more comfortable if you are tall etc and nicer ride. I’m 5’8 and have seat all the way back and it’s definitely not my daily drive. Hubby has bronco and is 6’4 and really comfortable for him to drive and more space. Could not do seat sliders you loose head room etc . So test drive and see what you prefer. After I drive my v8 with power his bronco power is such a let down . But like I said both of ours are just fun cars for us .
I have a saying that "life is too short for boring cars". I love driving my '74 Bronco and have done the few hundred mile trip to our place in Tahoe a number of times. The loud crazy experience along with many thumbs up along the way is half of the fun. I'm incredibly surprised that our '15 Wrangler has been one of the most reliable cars I've ever owned (literally no problems @ 95k miles). My daughter is pushing me hard towards Earl Grey with the red interior and sky roof. Can't believe that I'm taking her input into account, but the 392 is definitely not a boring car and would be a great addition to the stable!

Sounded like he blew a cylinder head and punched through the wall… spewed coolant like a fire hydrant. He wasn’t going anywhere under his own power. And of course I know Jeeps break down (but the seven I’ve owned have been solid).
‘But the fact that I came across probably no less than 4-5 dozen Jeeps. One Bronco. That one. Say what you want, but the site of a brand new “unicorn” vehicle being towed by a 20 year old Jeep was pretty damn funny.
