The service at my dealer has always been excellent. Here’s the rub—-been a customer 12 years bought 3 wranglers. They wanted 20 k over Msrp for 392.You are so fortunate to have a dealer that is leaning forward to help you. My dealer did not offer to do anything -- pay for plate -- pay for the rivets -- pay to have the plate installed; nada.
It’s really not about the money, it’s about dealers doing the right thing. When I asked my dealer about doing the work they told me, “We don’t rivets; I guess you’ll have to find a body shop to do it.”
So I paid for the plate and the rivets and plan to do the work myself. I waited 45 days for the plate, then waited 60 days and only got 1 of 4 rivets; so I gave up and ordered rivets from a Chrysler Parts Warehouse (run out of Thunder Chrysler in Bartow, FL) and had them delivered to my house in less than 1 week.
I knew owning another Jeep would be an adventure; I just didn’t know the adventure would be dealing with the supply system.
Drove 90 minutes and bought for msrp.
If you’re old enough to remember Roseann Roseanadana IT’S ALWAYS SOMETHING!!
