Your warranty requires an oil change every 6 months regardless of mileage. I have changed mine with just 600 miles on the oil. Looked like new. Silly but required.

I'm pretty sure I'll never have that problem. Even though I work from home and don't commute every day. June 1st will mark one year of ownership for my 20a. I'm already over 20k miles, so breaking 25k for the year is a certainty, and 30k a possibility.

Well I got my Break in Oil analysis back from Blackstone....I know...it is new, but still interesting to see dilution. I picked the JL up the same week it reached the dealership and had 7 miles on the OD....I plan to bring it to the dealership for the mandatory 6 month or 5K miles as required....but might dump that oil soon and use it as a "flush" to put in a better quality oil.

I am probably going to go with AMSOIL Signature or Redline. I will buy in bulk since both our TRX and 392 use the same oil. Both these oils are Group 4 base stock vs. Pennzoil/Mobil One/Castrol/etc. that use Group 3.

One question I had for the group here is 5w-40? vs 0w-40. I know in our hot humid location we will probably not get any benefit from having the wider range 0w-40 vs. 5w-40....

I think this is probably fine sticking with Pennzoil for normal milder climates.

When I had my Lexus GS400, I would only use 10w-30. even though the sticker said 5w-30....that vehicles ran for 20+ years and was in the family before it was sold.

Nope. I will use the Mopar one. It is readily available at Wal-Mart or Amazon. and seems to be just fine.
