Battery Issues- Question for group

I would say definitely good steps and like the easy of entry with them. I’m not sure if they are the cause of the battery drain or my Tazer being plugged in all time may be the culprit. If I drive it once a week or so I have no issues it’s only when I’ve let it sit for 3 weeks or so during winter I had the issue.
I wanted the XL version of Amps steps but we’re back ordered for ever, so I went with regular Amps and honestly glad I did and have no regrets.

Good to hear. Could be the 3 weeks out plus cold.
I talked to Amp guy yesterday and told me that steps for the 392 2022 were not yet available till few weeks from now.
I just hope for the best because those steps are great.
Any issue with warranty/void with those steps

I assume you’re taking Mopar warranty void for installing steps? I don’t think they would have an issue given AMP steps get installed at most dealers these days anyway. Hope I never have to find out though!

yes sir, I have the same scenario and use the noco, its on sale right now that a great price. I have been using their stuff for 3 years now, impressive so faR.

Just installed the NOCO -- very nice! According to the instructions, a slow pulsing red light means the battery is below 75%. I’m glad I didn’t wait longer to install a trickle charger.

If your Jeep rarely gets driven a charger is very important. My LJR gets driven a couple of times a week but if I miss a week I make sure to hook it up. I might have a Jeep problem.

I would suggest a trickle charger. These Jeeps are _really_ finicky about a low voltage battery. I accidentally completely drained my battery a week ago. Used a smart charger and got it back up to full voltage, but things were still acting weird. Ended up disconnecting the battery for an hour, and then reconnected. Everything is good now.

Just got the "aux switch unavailable battery charging message" after not seeing it for ever for the first 7000 miles. Have 2 small off road lights hooked up to aux switch, but not using them yet. Lights have been hooked up for 6000 miles. 392 gets driven about 10 miles roundtrip 5 days a week. Even if not driven enough, it is driven almost daily. Hmmmm?

Same issue I have or had before hooking up trickle charger on mine. I don’t drive it daily which seems odd to me yours is having that issue.. I assume you have aux switch to ignition instead of battery? If that’s the case you have a parasitic drain from the lights would be my guess. Trickle charger should fix it I’m thinking.

No unless you want lights to work anytime you hit the aux switch. On ignition, they will only turn on with jeep in run position and turn off when you kill vehicle.
