Maybe Jeep is doing a recall on shit steering .and going to require all of apex parts to do a fix for all of us

I finally got the Apex boost kit about 10 days ago and am underwhelmed. In summer heat here in Dubai I've had the steering hot warning just once in the past when I got stuck really deep in sand and had to wiggle steering for a good 10 minutes to get out. After installing the Apex kit including cooling fin, I've had the steering hot warning come up in both offroad drives I've been on after install and in pretty standard driving conditions. The kit did help to make steering on pavement easier though.

I remember there was someone on this forum who mentioned getting a fan installed somewhere to fix the overheating issue. Can't seem to find the thread though. Might be a cheap and easy fix..

Was initially thinking of getting the new Apex TSR as well but am now considering binning the apex kit and getting the PSC belt driven pump..

well I broke one of the plugs on my power steering pump taking it out to do the apex bost and cooler, major PIA

I had to do some zip tire entering to get it back on till my eBay plug repair kit comes in


so i'm going to lean a new skill I had not planed on, barrel pin connectors and disassembling the factory plug to swap it out.

also you don't have to unbolt the low pressure line keeper brakes/bushings to get it out, you can just pry them off of the bushing, I cut the line at the center between the frame and right aft of the passenger mounting bracket
