2016 Rubicon, 392 MOAB incoming
Self-employed IT-guy since 50 years now, after a TJ and two Rubicons I made a downpayment on a 392 MOAB, delivered in October I hope. Born and living in Sweden, the land of high taxes and a government that hates V8 engines, I’m paying $140,000 for a $ 80,000 Jeep. Driving off-road is illegal, but I got my own farm land where I do ”forestry work” ;o)

Congrats. What the ordering process there?

Pure luck! Can't order from the European Jeep retailers because they don't bring them here, have to import yourself or by a few companies in that business. Most imports are done from Canada. I was browsing for the term "392" in general and and of the first hits was "392 for sale nearby at Exclusive Cars, we have two of them at the show room". I called them at once and had to compete with another guy that wanted the same, dark green color (the other was boring black, I've had several black Wranglers). I wasn't prepared there would be one in Sweden, so I had to do a quick budget and then sign the purchase order before the other guy did. I just saw it briefly in the show room, no test drive, even forgot to take pictures, but I got to hear the sound of the engine. Sold! :-) Now the long wait for the authorities to approve registration and letting the Jeep out on the streets. I'm happy as can be, and this will probably be my last Jeep, I'm 70 next year. I wish I could move to Arizona, because things are only going to be worse here in Sweden, but who needs a 70-year old guy with 50 years experience as self-employed in the IT business, mostly power grid, military, AI and IoT?

Welcome & congrats! Skål! 🍻

Welcome to the forum from another IT guy! Let us know what you think after you take delivery! 🍻

I was 70 when I picked up my 26 Moab! Please let us know how "annoyed" your government officials are when you finally get the beast.
