392s in the wild...

Just curious how often others see 392s? I am in Chicago and saw my first 392 in the wild. I was driving through Indiana and saw a non-XR Hydro blue cruising briskly down 65. Had the 1941 side stripe. Hydro blue looks great in low light. I love the Sting Gray I ordered but Hydro Blue keeps calling me too. I couldn't tell if it was on 33s or 35s. It looked kind of imposing.

Every time I think I see a 392, it turns out to be a Mojave.

Saw a white one in the Flatirons Denver parking lot this morning. Have seen a gray one as well in the same parking lot for church. And there is my Snazz one. That is a lot of 392's in a small area of Denver!

I shop around flatirons. But mine is gray, and you wouldn’t have seen mine in a church parking lot.

Went to a pretty popular "Jeep Invasion" this past Saturday up near Indy. There was one other person with a 392 up at it which was kind of surprising as apparently there are several in the area. Had a great time and answered a ton of questions about the 392.

I’m here on business and we rented a bronco for the week, thing is absolute trash. Feels so cheap inside, and while it has decent pickup for what it is clearly has nothing on our 392s powerwise. Can’t wait to get back home to my 392!

The black one that I saw once before in my city’s downtown drove down my street earlier, while mine was parked in my driveway, while I was out there. Dark tinted front windows - I pointed to him, but unsure if he saw me.

Yesterday I spotted a white 392 heading southbound on HWY 285 at Willow Wisp. I wonder if it was the same one that I spotted on Boreas Pass, if it wasn't the total is now 7.

The tailgate spare had brake lighting behind/amidst the spokes. Woman was driving it. Non-IL plate from what I could tell. Quicker on the draw this time.

In Chicagoland I have seen:
Black one in Naperville, two or three times passing opposite side. Like Galt said real dark windshield tint could never eye a wave.

Slate Gray in Naperville/DuPage - Menards, Harbor Freight, and another business. Stock daily driver and well maintained. Saw one passing oncoming as well near the DuPage forest preserve HQ but not sure if it was the same.

Hydro Blue in Carol Stream - half doors and no top, out for a family outing. Smiles all around as it was cold but they were enjoying the ride. Exchanged some greetings at a red light.

Randy & Brian @Wildside Jeep has done I think 3 392 builds now. The staff at the 4x4 shop on Ogden is great as well.

I think there’s also one prowls about at Iron Gate Motorpark; the soundz plus guys there said they’ve done two I think. Btw, they do some nice work on radar scanners, jammers, etc. if you’re in the area and haven’t stopped at Iron Gate to poke around those businesses I would recommend. They do cars and coffee monthly, and usually at least one charity or club gathering a week is happening…

Also a shoutout to Jeff @ http://www.hedrickspeedsports.com/ . They’ve played with some 392s but no real builds yet as this monster is pretty close to perfect- but thought I would flag some of their other work. Check the builds page (eg the Brutes they’ve built). have a nice weekend.

I saw a sting gray 392 XR with a Kentucky plate at the Smokey Mtn Jeep Invasion this past Thursday. Which isn’t that surprising to see a 392 there, but I was excited because it was a female driving. We were waving and honking at each other. Glad to see other women driving 392s.
