2026 MOAB Mods Underway !!!

Dang….Guess I missed that last sentence!!! Sure seem to work so far. I’ll test them to see how long it will keep the hood up or if they let it down.

**** update**** I left it up all night with a support to catch it 1 inch below so I could see if it moved at all. No movement !!! While it does hold it up it’s definitely not made for this heavy a hood so I’m in no way recommending it. Make sure you always read the complete descriptions…. Unlike me !!!

If you dislike the huge plastic bumper cones on the OEM winch bumper here is how you can swap them back to stock, the jeep will look A LOT better
The main reason I didn’t order the winch from the factory was the Dolly Parton bumper mod that was included.

Ahh ok, these show not compatible with 392 models.
Yeah that was the other thing that was required on the 392 specific struts. I believe the fix for that bolt was to just remove the rubber bushing. But there was some cutting/grinding that also had to be done on the ECU bracket.
Insane goodluck

Great thread, thanks for posting. Just ordered those headliners and may go for the quadratec strut also, even though its not for 392.

Ordered a ton of stuff to start building my Moab, will be up on ECGS 60s and 40s. will post a similar thread. Right now all I have to show is my cool magsafe phone mount lol

Got my fender vent decals installed today… super easy. The camera doesn’t show how well they stand out to the naked eye but no doubt not as in your face with the dark grey paint !

Really happy with how they ride and sound. Not quite as smooth at the KO2s but still pretty close. Can’t really tell any difference in power or performance and from what I read the Recons are a lighter 37 but I’m sure I’ll still take a hit on the MPGs regardless. They look a little narrow in my opinion but maybe that’s the optical illusion of 37s on 8” wheels. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Still a great improvement over the look of the 35s in my opinion.

I do have a question though. I’m running 31 PSI front and 30 PSI rear. These temps were adjusted at heated driving temps…… does this seem about right for these tires and weight of the jeep? Looking at the tire tread after driving it definitely shows a full tread patch contact with the pavement.

Best way to know is do a chalk test.

Damn it !!!!! Now I’m looking at lifts 😁

Just a nice slight bump to get a hair more clearance for looks really…. Maybe 1.5 -2” over where I’m at now. Im focusing on JKS, Clayton, Teraflex, and AEV.

So many choices with manufacturers and lift sizes and with so many lift outcomes. Funny that the more you look the more confused you can get. 😁

Ok….a buddy is running this same kit on his 392 non XR and likes it a lot so going to do the same. We are both a lot more parking lot than Offroad
( 80/20) so this kit should hopefully achieve that mix and give me the slight bump I’m hoping for. I may upgrade the shocks if these aren’t decent enough after some use.

I saw where Ali Mansour used this kit on his 2021 392 XR and got 1.75” in the front and 1.5” in the rear. Hopefully I can get similar results. I did read on JKS site that “ 392 models may achieve up to 1.5" less lift depending on factory equipped package”. I’m sure this is the discussion, whether true or not, about the 392 vs 392 XR having different lifts.

Maybe I’ll keep a set of .50 coil spacers handy just in case !!!!!

JKS 2.5 “ J-Konnect

So my JKS 2.5” J-Konnect lift came in and I might tackle it this weekend. Based on the lift being a 1.0-1.75” lift, I did order a set of Terraflex Coil Spacers (.5”) as well. Thought this might make up some height if the lift comes up on the shorter side.

Is there any issue of installing these in conjunction with the JKS lift ? Didn’t wanna throw off any geometry of the JKS lift but I hoped the small adjustment size of .5”wouldn’t be an issue.

Rear Track Bar and Rear Fox Shocks are slightly delayed….. might be a few weeks until I can get started !!

Also trying to figure out if I need the rear track bar bracket if I’m using an adjustable track bar vs the stock one.

My son spoke with the JKS crowd at Jeep Beach and they were offering 20% off their lifts for the weekend. He could not find much information on the JKS lift (good, bad or indifferent). Since, he couldn't get any opinions on the JKS lift, he decided on the Clayton 2.5 Overland kit.

I went with the JKS Konnect 2.5" as my buddy has one on his 392 and likes it a lot. I also watched a few videos and I liked what Ali Mansour and others had to say about it as well. My off-roading isn't no where to the level I would need a super high end kit. I really was looking for 1.5-2" of lift to help with the look of the 37" tires and give some extra clearance if need but really wanted to keep a good highway ride. HOPEFULLY this JKS kit will check all these boxes. No doubt the Clayton kit is a probably a much better kit...especially if you do a lot of off-roading, but the overall price of the kit was a little steep !!!

I'm gonna start on mine this weekend. Still missing the rear shocks but should have them early next week. I believe I'm gonna install the Teraflex .5" spacers when I install the JKS lift. I figure that will get me for sure to the 2" lift mark when all is completed .

Anyone got any advice on installing? I've watched a few videos and read the directions and all seems pretty straight forward but getting first hand knowledge and advice never hurts.

Rear track bar arrived…Unfortunately still in a rear shock holding pattern. Fox is manufacturing them this week so I’m being told they will be shipped by the 18th.
