Jeep on train for over a month and a half!

This talk of Jeeps on trains going to Toronto to have more parts installed is depressing! This morning my dealer told me my 392 was transferred to the rail yard. Ordinarily that would mean its on the way to me but now it seems thats not the case at all!
Somewhere on here I read a post by a fella that said he received his 392 within 8 weeks of ordering it. Sounds unusual as from what I've been gathering from other posts on here 12 weeks is about the best arrival time.

I’m pretty much convinced at this point that my Jeep was damaged in shipping or that the dealership sold it to another customer and ordered another. Feels like I’m being lied to by both Jeep corporate and the dealer. Rail shipping does not take anywhere near this long even during bad scheduling. So disappointed.

My Jeep has been on a train for over a month now. Is this normal? Getting concerned because no one at dealership or customer service can tell me where it is and I get a different answer every time I speak with someone.
It is painful to wait but soon you will have your vehicle and the wait will be forgotten. Two weeks after you get it you will wonder why you were ever stressing.

Are you tracking the VIN? It would be almost impossible for the dealer to do that if you have a VIN.

I waited 2.5 months (23 March to 6 June) from order to delivery. I can only imagine how fluid delivery dates can be for a first year model, when you consider covid, supply chain issues and mid-year changes, like the transition from aluminum to stamped steel oil pans.

I’m just going to have to wait it out and see what happens.

Yep, That might have been your post I was thinking about.

I live in south Florida and called my dealer today to see if my 392 made it yet from up north on the train. Lo and behold he said it was unloaded at the Tampa hub on the 17th! Now waiting for truck transport to the dealer, probably won’t be ready to pick up until after Christmas, but that’s ok. I know it’s close now!

I'd be figuring out where that rail yard is and getting it! I know military members moving overseas use a rail terminal near Orlando to drop vehicles off.

I got another delay today from the dealership‘s random number generator.

I’m pretty confident dealerships can track their orders by satellite or rail car number. I don’t believe this has changed because of anything. Can’t understand why they won’t say where it’s at.

I think my Jeep is still weeks away. Just as some dealers inflate prices, some buyers end up buying off someone else's lot so I think they always want to be as optimistic as possible. If they were upfront and say wait at least 4 months, more people would look for one in stock.

I wish it were that easy. I could figure out where the railyard is, Tampa isn’t that big, but first the dealer has to get their hands on it to prep it and cash my check. And pull fuses half way out and install gremlins in the computer system to keep their shop busy.

Another delay today from Jeep. 12/30-01/07. Crickets from dealership.

Jeep and sales tell me “they are having issues with workers and truck drivers, so it keeps getting delayed,” but info from sales maHager shows it is on rail, so that does not explain anything.

Ok, after several weeks in transit my Jeep finally arrived at my south Florida dealer! Got the magic call today to come get it. I'm driving over to get it tomorrow afternoon. Keeping my fingers crossed all goes smoothly and nothing wrong with the Jeep.

I have a feeling your Jeep will just show up at the dealer out of the blue soon like mine did.

When did you order? XR?

I got this from my dealer a week ago.
