2024 New Grille Install

Ha - I just exchanged all my speakers and got what I originally wanted.

Question - I was not aware there could be additional cooling benefits. Am I missing it in the pictures? 24 grill has wider open surface area but shorter height area? Is the thought the taller height on pre-24 grill is blocked by winch? Or maybe the scale is more understandable in person?

🤔 So this got me wondering does the new grille provide more airflow?
I think the answer is probably yes.

Based off some rough measurements I think the new grille blocks about 25% less surface area in front of the radiators than the older design. That doesn't mean it allows 25% more cooling, but it must provide some improvement in total airflow. I took a picture of the 2024 grille and my 2022 grille to help illustrate this better. The radiators are directly behind the middle 5 slots so I added that to the photo. The new 2024 grille is mostly an open grid with only a few very thin trim pieces defining that iconic seven slot grille. Because of this it blocks less airflow than my 2022 grille with it's much wider vertical grille bars.

My 2023 392 in Sting Grey came with the Mopar Performance Grill option. Is the 2024 Mopar Performance Grill different than the 2023? Would you keep the 23 performance grill or opt for the 2024 painted version?

Is this the grille? This is the image that comes up when you configure a 2024 392. If so, I think it is very similar to my original 2022 grille. I kinda like the new 2024 grille so I went with that one.

I did my 2024 Custom Paint myself. I do like what you did looks real good. Check out mine.
I love that color!!! Now you gotta go all in and match that Warn logo. @Underground Graphics has a Warn winch decal kit that matches the 392. That is an awesome Jeep!👍

just got word that my 2024 grill has shipped. Will be here soon and i'll post a photo of it installed.

Those all look amazing. I don't think there is any way to talk the boss (wife) into a 24'...lol But I'm glad to see I'm not the only one to want to order the 24' grill. Please post pics as everyone gets them installed.
I assume everyone is ordering them from Distinction Applied? or is there a better source?

Thanks in advance.

Interesting comparison of the space behind the winch with the regular JL grill and the new 24 grill. These are both on my 21 392

That's really helpful to see comparisons like that. I have my 2024 grill waiting to go on - just got it back from the detail shop getting PPF installed. My 2023 grille is very close to my winch, like less than 1/2" inch. I'm going to have to remove my winch to get the 2023 grille off.

But - I decided I don't like the unpainted trim portion around the slots and the headlights. I talked to Brian at Distinction Applied and ordered the trim in matte black. Once I get it, I'll return the unpainted one for the core charge refund.

It's certainly no fault of Distinction Applied, but for those ordering a 2024 grille, I'd give some serious consideration to getting the trim painted for the extra $100. The color it comes isn't standard on any Wrangler trim level. Rubicon Grey would be the OEM finish.

Just something to think about.

They painted mine matte black with the slot trim red.
I did not have to take my winch off to switch the grills out. The cables were on the grill enough to leave imprints but I was still able to easily get it off.

Installed! Love it. Relatively easy. Only tricky part was the camera wire, which I routed from around the top of the grill and placed the wire under certain tabs and zip tied to internal plastic bits where there were holes and routed to the oem location. Paint looks great. Highly recommend this oem plus mod!

1. Anyone priced a 2024 grill from their local dealership?
2. If available from Jeep Dealership, is all matte black an option?

added an aluminum mesh grill to cover the gap.
Easy process cut an 80x12 cm piece, and bent about 2 cm up towards the radiator side. Used the existing push pins and added one more on the driver side.
