What did you do to your Jeep 392 today? 🛠️

Swapped on the 35x12.5r17 Falken Wildpeak AT3/Ws with Driven Products black lug nuts and added the Mopar Tube Steps.

It's the same part number as the Ram/Chrysler/etc just get the 20 pack (or 24 if you're going to use them on the rear spare too).

Added the Bestop Sunrider for Hardtop, pretty simple install other than those stupid f*@$!?& Z clips suck major donkey balls. Whoever came up with those is a real douche.

It’s got like 1600 miles on it : )
She actually has 3600 miles as of right now.
I’m thinking about putting the Borla STYPE or ATAK exhaust on my girl…
I’ll post some pics when I decide which one and get it installed.✌🏼

After a week of separation anxiety I brought her home this morning from the detailer where she's been getting a nice professional application of a cQuartz Finest Reserve Ceramic Coating. Now to start working on installing the long and ever-growing list of mods and accessories. . .

Got my RockSlide Engineering sliders on and Rokblokz flaps. I spend most of my time exploring dirt roads so I’m trying to prevent rock chips. My body mounts came out ok but one. Took me 45 minutes on the middle passenger side. after getting out a borescope and discovering that the bolt was exposed I sprayed a good amount of WD40 in the cavity and let it soak. A few more back and forths it came out pretty smooth. Think if I had continued with it dry it would have snapped off.

Added Warn winch plate and Zeon 10 Platinum Winch. 💩 canned the Mopar winch plate.

Installed a Fox 2.0 ATS Steering Stabilizer today. I know there's been some debate here on whether or not the steering stabilizer will really make a difference in the steering feel, bouncing in lane, and tightness. I feel like it made a nice difference in mine. I set the sensitivity half way (12 clicks) and it feels great. Feels much tighter and much less bouncing around the lane in my opinion.

The install was ok, but had its challenges. Even though the replacement bracket that comes with it says it is properly sized for the JL out of the box, it was a bit tight and slightly off in its alignment. Even leaving all bolts loosely attached at first as mentioned in another thread here wouldn't work. I found if I attached the top two bolts (circled in green in attached pic) first and left them loose, then used a long screwdriver against the bracket and the axle I could get just enough leverage to flex the bracket long enough to get the bottom side bolt (circled in Yellow) aligned and threaded. Tightening it up from that point was no problem.

The carriage bolt on the other end of the stabilizer was a different challenge (circled in Red). The instructions say to use the OEM carriage bolt, but it looks like the '22 Wrangler now has a new steering stabilizer with a different carriage bolt that has a much longer square head. See pics showing new '22 part number and new carriage bolt. The new stabilizer has a larger diameter bushing on the top side that accommodates the longer square head (literally a square peg sitting in a round hole), bottom side bushing is still the same size as previous to accommodate bottom of bolt. Fox bushings are same size top and bottom and need the prior traditional carriage bolt setup. So, I VERY TEMPORARILY am using the other OEM standard bolt from the OEM stabilizer until I can head out tomorrow and buy a replacement carriage bolt.

Other then the above challenges and discoveries, the Fox fits fine on my '22 392 XR. I did have to slightly adjust the reservoir position, but that was expected and part of the normal install instructions. Everything fits nicely and no rubbing or touching of any steering/suspension components through the full range of steering angle all the way to the stops both directions.
