So.
I'm building a overlanding trailer to pull with my Jeep 392. It's a small military generator trailer (m116a3). It has some nice features, including a surge brake setup, and some cool hand brakes that keep it steady when unhooked, and allow for a dumping feature (set the handbrakes, remove a couple of pins, and back up... causes it to dump or tip to the rear).
I can replace the whole axle with one with our 5x5 wheel pattern on it, but I'd like to keep the current surge/handbrake/tilt features, which would all go away with swapping the axle.
I found a company that makes custom wheel adapters to adapt the trailer's 8 on 6.5" bolt pattern to our 5 on 5" pattern.
I'm trying to fill out the quote form and it asks some questions I'm not sure about. The relevant info for my Jeep is if the Wheels are hub centric, and if so what's the hub diameter? the only other thing they want to know about the Jeep wheels is the lug size which I think are 14mm x 1.5.
I've found mixed results as to whether or not the Jeep wheels are hub centric. Can anyone say definitely? Anyone know the hub size offhand? TIA
