So you’re saying I should not take delivery of my 20th anniversary? Pretty crappy for jeep to announce an anniversary edition with some mild upgrades, and then make most of them standard on the next model year. Especially when there is a significant markup and dealers like Granger will not sell them under MSRP (whereas they are doing significantly under msrp on non 20A). In this economy it’s just not worth it. The 20 As will not hold their value well at all.
I agree. They almost surely won't. We've already seen that with the 10As. I saw one for sale a few months ago with relatively low miles for around 28k or so. Granted they aren't 392s, but I still predict relatively the same fate for the 20As.
The main reason to get a 20A imo is if you are into anniversary/special editions and like to drive around more of a conservation piece (to jeepers) opposed to something that you can either get for cheaper, with better features, or both.
EDIT: I'm leaving the typo in the above paragraph as is just for how funny it is. I meant conversation, not conservation.

These things certainly aren't any 'conservation' piece haha.
Call me shallow, but I like driving around a rarer conversation piece even if it doesn't have features as good as the next one (especially if I got in on an AEV II). Even if other people don't notice or care, I like it better. As another example, I could have gotten a regular Bronco somewhere for cheaper, but I searched for a first edition (which I'm loving so far).
Yesterday taking a cab to the airport, I saw a dragon edition driving down the highway beside us. I thought "Oh, there's a rarity, cool". I wouldn't want a dragon edition, but I still think it's cool to see (and the diver didn't know either way what I was thinking). I imagine I could get that same thought when I'm driving down the highway in a 20A I guess. For some reason, I like the idea of that.
