WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE AFTER MARKET PART YOU HAVE ADDED TO YOUR 392 so far.

Can I say that I think I'm the best mod my 392 has? Without me it was homeless and sad. Now it sleeps indoors and always has a full ish tank.
But the Rock Slide Engineering steps are pretty cool too😎

I too have dumped thousands of dollars into mine including lift, shocks, steering mods, rims, tires, stereo and subs etc…but the one mod that probably no one notices because they are designed for that are front and rear bumper close out panels from Utah Design Foundry, to complement the fender chop. Absolutly cleaned it up, well priced.

Air compressor, RTT, tailgate table just to name a few :)

Great product have them as well.
I do have to add that I spent quite a bit of time in the snow on the roads and some trails over the past couple days (Arkansas snow NOT Chicago, Nashville, or Buffalo snow) and with the caking, ice, multiple days in teens or single digits, etc; the RSE steps never once bound up or didn't engage/retract to zero.... first time with them seeing the white stuff so thought I'd pass it on.

Unlocked PCM with a DiabloSport Trinity…….no more MDS! My fav by far!
Would you provide a few details on the DiabloSport? (install, before/after experience, pre-loaded tunes, etc)? If you've done this in another thread, I apologize.... been eyeing this and similar for my 'down the road' list.

Ordering was easy and you have a choice of buying the PCM with or without trading yours in. Livernois won‘t sell you a PCM, so that’s why I didn’t go with them. I’m keeping my factory PCM just in case I need it down the road. The swap of the PCM was super easy and the download went seamless. However, my main goal was to get rid of the MDS and I didn’t care about anything else. What I didn’t realize was that when you download their tune, you don’t get the option to turn on/off the MDS. The tune turns it off automatically. I went back and forth with Diablo and they sent me multiple custom updates trying to resolve it. Finally, someone on this site told me that when I download the tune, the MDS is automatically turned off and it’s not an option to turn on or off like Diablo told me. I pulled my hair out and why the folks at Diablo never told me that, I don’t know. Anyway, I don‘t feel any power improvements and since the increase is so small, I’m not sure anyone would feel it. Without the MDS, it’s like a total different Jeep. I could always hear and feel the MDS turning on and off whether I had the exhaust on or off or if I had the Off-road + button on or off. It’s sooo smooth now and the exhaust sounds amazing at all RPM’s. It totally voids the warranty, but I don’t care because if I couldn’t have done something about the MDS, I woulda sold the Jeep. Besides, with almost a lifetime of vehicle purchases without buying extended warranties, I think I’ve saved enough money to cover any issues.

Thanks for the commentary particularly around the MDS, much appreciated. I'm generally skeptical about stated power gains and that's not my priority anyway.

Does a bumper sticker count as a mod?

Here are a few of my favorite aftermarket parts up here in the snowy north ❄️⛄🎄:

1. WetherTech floor mats and truck liner made in USA (392 modded)

2. Heated back seats... the kids love 'em and so does the dog. 🐶

3. Full vehicle (Stek) PPF with a freshly applied coat of underbody lanolin rust inhibitor (Blaster Surface Shield) + Boeshield T9 under the hinges and all internals . Living in the rust belt at the end of a gravel driveway every bit helps.

Not sure if or how this works with the 8-speed, but sounds like MDS can be “temporarily“ disabled ( if that’s what you want to do) without getting a PCM or tune.

Before I got the tuner, I would always put it in manual mode to kill the MDS, but couldn't seem to get myself to remember when I’d come to a stop and then flooring it, LOL. I just got tired of dealing With it.

GoFast Camper roof top tent.
I am seriously thinking of going with the same setup. Looks like you would recommend it, how much different does your Jeep handle now with that weight up top? I am worried that my Jeep will become so top heavy that I won't like the way it handles and have to take it off. I drive fast sometimes on curvy mountain roads and do some rock crawling in off camber situations, your input would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there.
The RTT is not that heavy - maybe 140/150 pounds. I dont notice much of a difference on handling. Majority of my use is forest service roads and light offroading. If i were to go to Moab (or whatever) i would remove the rtt.
If you go this direction, i recommend the GFC mounting hardware (low profile aluminum blocks) and the "RHINO-RACK BACKBONE MOUNTING SYSTEM Part No: RJLB1"
Enjoy!

Tazer and Nolimitz for the all the functions and ability to disable MDS / key programming without voiding warranty. Also shouting out @MRT Performance for their h-pipe. Really wakes up the exhaust in performance mode and still remains factory in quite mode. I think it gives you the Borla / AWE sound for 10% of the cost. Now just need someone to come up with some drop in replacement tips for the factory exhaust.
