Curios why not just use the OEM bolts? I did with the other inferior product I purchased

Haha the factory bolts work just fine. I just wanted to provide an option for those that lost those bolts. Surprisingly about 75% of my orders opt for the bolts

QQ - I have the OEM bumper ends on, however, I still don't like to see the part behind the fog lamps + Connector/ wiring harness exposed to the elements.

Will these still fit if I have the ends on the front OEM bumper still installed (as it came from factory)?

Honestly I’m not sure. I’d test it but I don’t have the mopar bumper anymore. I’m curious though. DM me and I’ll send you a set to test if you want

Fabricated my own (I have access to a press brake). Need to cleanup the outer edges....OEM bumper.

I held the end caps up to mine…I think it might fit with the plate installed, then the end cap put over it. The only problem might be the length of the screws not being long enough. Ryan said he would send a set out to you to try them out. PM him.

Anyone have issue installing these Utah Design Foundry Stubby Bumper Closeout Panels?
I tried installing mine and would not fit flush, 1/2" gap from fitting flush against back of factory steel bumper, contacted back of factory LED fog light plugs, both sides.
Are you guys just forcing them on, crushing wires at back of plug?
Mine is 2023 XR stock bumper and lights.

I see many have installed these cover plates and I haven't heard any issues?


Any chance mine has odd light plugs or do they look normal?

No issues. Did you apply the foam seal around the edge how the instructions show?

I added pics. I do have the foam seal but still won't close the gap.
I showed to my local Jeep service manager and he thought it would be too much pressure on plug wires, on mine.
How can I be the only one??? lol

I read someone else had this issue and they called support on it and were told that due to manufacturing tolerances some have this issue and they just have to use some washers to space it out. Supposedly the newer kits come with them in case you need them. I haven't gotten them, but have thought about it a time or two.

Washers spacing is a good idea, thanks. Was considering slightly bending mounting points?
I wasn't sure if Jeep had a run with different fog light plugs?

Someone posted a link to these stubby bumper panels from Utah Design Foundry and I ordered right away. They took about 2 minutes to install and look so much better. Powder coated aluminum that matches the bumper in texture with a rubber gasket that the user sticks on. Sometimes it's the small things that make the final touches so nice. Highly recommended. Installs with factory hardware but if you lost your hardware after removing the bumper ends they can send you a new set also.
