Fast enough. Faster is the TRX's job.
80 mph is where the TRX starts feeling planted in the twisty sections; it's also where the 392 starts feeling floaty.
My greatest fear in the 392 is getting passed by a Prius on one of our winding mountain roads. The horror.

Ive had that happen.... i just didnt have the gonads to take the turns at 75 plus. The jeep is not confidence inspiring in turns at all compared to a regular car imho.

I tend to go back & forth from a fast vehicle, back to Jeep Wrangler. Than fast again, back to Jeep Wrangler. This 392 Wrangler is kinda best of both worlds, besides the top-end speed part. I don't too much care about that at the moment (I sold my 392 Scat Pack Challenger for this) and I can still drive my wife's Jag F-type whenever I want all out speed. So I'm good..

I drive a box truck and a 1 ton van for work both of which are heavy but corner fairly well at their 85 mph limited speeds due to the load range E tires.
My logic tells me it just as dangerous to go 0-60 in 4.5 s in city streets as it is to go 110 on a highway. If we’re all concerned about absolute safety then 392 Wranglers might not have been the best choice?!?

Nah. I like the quick straight line acceleration around the city. Absolutely hilarious. The funny thing though is the Jeep has slowed me down significantly on the highway. I don't mind cruising in the right lanes around the speed limit. The lack of precise handling / body roll doesn't make the jeep fun at high speeds imho. Definitely not the right car if you want to weave in and out of traffic on the highway. It may have the SRT 392 motor, but it is in no way a good handling truck. When folks ask about it, I tell them straight up.... if you want to "cut up" on the roads aggressively changing lanes and darting in and out of traffic, get a SRT GC / Trackhawk or something else.

I don't see whether you have done anything to your Jeep or not but I highly recommend the Fox 2.0 ATS and Mopar extended front LCA upgrade, it's a night and day difference in steering/handling. Also the Falken WP A/T3W 35x12.50r17s I put on track very well too, much better than the KO2s. All in all it handles very car like on the highway IMO.

You happen to have part numbers for those LCAs?

You need 2 as they're the same for the left and right. I purchased at BAM as it was the cheapest online at the time (looks like they've gone down 14 cents... :ROFLMAO: ) - https://www.bamwholesaleparts.com/oem-parts/mopar-lower-control-arm-68322798aa

Also note, torque is 190 ft-lbs on the bolts at both ends. I broke them loose with the Dewalt high power impact but put them back on with a 1/2" extended torque wrench and it was a bear to pull that to spec under the Jeep but it does need to be on the ground in order to set it up properly when torquing.

I was in the same boat as you and went back and forth on what exactly I wanted out of my Jeep. First it was 40’s/axles/evo 3.5” lift and now all I care about is seeing how much power n/a I can get out of the 392. Something about making 11 second quarter mile passes and still keeping a trail beast sounds more enticing 🫡

So far I’ve done the MMX Max Effort Cam, MDS Delete, HP Tuners, and AWE Exhaust. Waiting on the American Racing Long Tube Headers and torque converter to be done then hopefully we can get it on the dyno to see what kind of power it’s making.

Can someone suggest an app or explain how to downsize videos on this forum?

Personally, no I won't bother removing it...110 MPH in a Jeep on 35's is a bit crazy to me. I rarely go 110-130 even in my sports cars with the correct rated tires. Here in AZ, doing 20 MPH over the limit is criminal speed they can impound your car, and take your license (up to 12 months) so with most HYW limits at 75 MPH... 95 MPH is about the limit of what I do...most cruise the HWY at 80-85 MPH so I'm good...now that said, I can see myself hitting the limiter some day...just to see it and say yeah I did that... :)

Definitely update on this when it’s complete.

Fastest I ever went was 183 on a modded bike.
2nd, was my GC SRT at the limiter of 160. Then after a tune, 180. That was interesting. The bike seemed less intimidating.
I’m now good with 110-ish max. But mine is a non X, so… 99 it is. I know, I Know. Mine isn’t as good or worth as much as an XR. 🤣
Although, I did get a ticket in SD this last summer. My first since 1997. The fuzz hit me at 134, then 110, then 90, then 80. He cut me a huge break as he saw I was slowing down. I could have gone to jail. But… Have you ever driven SD highways? Nobody on them, smooth as butter, no cracks, potholes, tar strips.
