Similar to JL Wrangler site: 2023 XR wheels beauty ring get design change and new look....

Exactly. Mine came 4 10s and 1 25 as the spare. At least match all 5 lollol
Ya, that definitely shouldn't happen.
Someone at the tire/wheel assembler should have caught it.
But you're looking at less than 5% of all wrangler build and they would have to know to look at that level of detail (10 vs 25).
Once it gets to the plant it's going on no matter what.
If it bothers you I would suggest asking the dealer to put you in touch with a Jeep rep (possibly customer advocate?).

If that occurs my friendly parts guy will make it right. Still rather sloppy assembly line protocol.

I have never had beadlock wheels so I need a little educating. If you buy the actual Jeep OEM beadlock rings (the ones that allow you to run beadlocked) do you have to use them in a beadlock configuration? Or can they just serve as expensive trim rings?

I would ASSUME they can be used as expensive trim rings. I firmly believe any rings, XR or not, trim or beadlock are just about impossible to find. If found, they are indeed very expensive.

Just picked up my 2023 Sting Grey XR yesterday. I absolutely love the car and my first Jeep in 20 years. Have an X5M Competition and after driving my 392 even for a day, will be selling the X5 immediately as I will never drive it again. My XR package also came with 10 ring Beadlock but on all 5 tires. The other thing that shocked me was the rim was not gold or black but grey!!! I ordered 38's and new rims regardless, but the new rims were based on the fact that the factory was gold, and was not a fan. The grey rims look great, especially with Sting Grey but would have loved to know that before spending 2k on new rims. I will post some photos tomorrow in the day to show the color of the new rims. Anyone else who had a recent delivery get the grey rims instead of Gold?

Funny, I've seen a few new 392's posted with different XR beauty rings and was curious how many of the new '23 392 XR's are coming with the 10 bolt beauty ring (being called fugly) vs. 25 bolt ring. As I've been delayed for almost 135 days due to D1 to D regress (June 2nd order date), I'll be super pissed 😤😤:mad::mad: if my rings are the cheaper version....especially considering we are getting the cheaper ambient lighting switch and the price has gone up significantly since last year. There doesn't seem to be any notification of this change and/or any rhyme or reason to who gets what based on build date and I'm curious to know if my early D1 build would have the older parts waiting at the plant or do they re-pull the parts due to regress (more likely) back to D....

How many of the new delivered 23's have the new rings vs. the old - please sound off

I've picked up the 12 pages of comments on this topic from JL Wrangler site below:
I’m not familiar with the "cheaper ambient lighting switch.” How would you know if you have the cheaper switch in your Jeep?

Its not a big deal to me, I did not even know what it did until people started complaining about it. 21, 22 and early 23 models had two dials to control dashboard and footwell lighting. Now apparently they have only one dial and both sets of lights are controlled together. They are to the left of the steering wheel near the headlight switch.

Does anyone know if any other brands bead lock rings are capable with the XR wheel? Or do we have to use the Mopar ones?

CBH - the cheaper switch has one thumb wheel on the right where the older builds have two. So now you have to adjust all the interior lighting together instead of the ambient and dash lights separately. Hope this helps

I think you can order the two switch modules through parts. I have no idea what cost or retrofit labor would be.

I dont have much experience with beadlock but I am pretty sure you will need rings from the same manufacturer. The holes spacing, number of bolt holes, mating surfaces etc need to match up and I see no way two manufacturers would match all of those specifications. In fact, I think sometimes you need specific rings for specific brands of tires. I also believe most people dont need beadlocks.

You can use them as bead lock or not but if not there will be about a 1/2 " space between the ring and wheel where the tire would be in bead lock mode.

Two 392s on the lot this morning with 25 bolt beauty rings. Obviously not XRs, so wondering if the dealer put these on? 🤷🏻‍♂️

Aug 10th order, D1 Oct 15th, build finish Dec 27th. Delivery Jan 7th.

10 bolts 😤

My Reign 392, which I just retrieved from the dealer has 10 bolt rings on all 5 wheels. Maybe that should bother me, but meh, bigger things to worry about. YMMV.

These are the factory standard 392 wheels with 12 bolt rings. The actual bead lock rings have 24 bolts. No changes here.

My '23 Sarge XR was delivered on Friday with 10 rings too, unfortunately not lucky...but my dealer ordered the 25 bolt rings and bolts and split his cost with me. So I consider that a win, my '23 XR Rubicon is supposed to come in next week for my wife I'm sure that will have 10 rings too but she's good with those.

Just frustrating when you pay as much as we did, actually have to admit I like the gauges and can't really see the light switch so don't notice it.

One last point, this is one of the most savage and bonkers jeeps or car I ever owned (10 wranglers, including an AEV and Gladiator) and I currently have a Trackhawk and TRX.

Worth every minute of the 6 plus month wait. When I drive it, I feel 25 again...absolutely amazing the holy grail of Jeeps I've waited 40 years for....

thank you everyone for the encouragement and support during the process!!!
