Shock help please

Long story short my 23 392 has a leaking shock. Dealer ordered it 3 months ago and the order keeps getting canceled by Jeep. So without all the details I was going to just buy it and install it myself. Well I was wondering 2 things does anyone have the jeep part number? 2nd question ( I do not do any serious offroading) if I wanted to upgrade both front shocks whats the next in line without braking the bank? TIA
I'm installing a 3.5" lift now. you are welcome to the shocks and steering stabilizer for free, just pay shipping from Houston Texas. Let me know if you want them, I'll pick it up on thursday

do you want them, I'm grabbing it tonight on the way home. If not, no worries and I'll leave them at the shop

Just installed the sdi e clicks with pro menu. Words do not describe how good these shocks work. Nothing can compete with live valve technology imo. They are soft yet controlled and consistently make live changes to each shock. Worth every cent. Install was a breeze.

An update on this, the Old Man Emu shocks easily Botton out on relatively small bumps.
I was not sure if the shock performance was my imagination, but...
I just got a new 2025 Rubicon 2025, the shock performance is what I would expect from a Jeep, I can now cross local speed bumps (mild version) at decent speed where I had to almost stop for the Fox and OME shocks and they bottomed out easily,
The new shock are night and day different

I’m seeing several comments stating you need 0” lift shocks. That is incorrect. Lift height is based on standard wrangler rubicon. Ours is 2” taller.

Regarding bottoming, that is due to the enormously long bump stop tubes. They just don’t need to be that long. I cut them down and installed Fox Bump Stops. I checked for bottoming by removing the springs and lowering the Jeep onto the bump stops fully compressed. This added over 1” of up travel over the original setup. I then lifted it 2” with Clayton 3.5” single rate springs. Now I have a ton of up travel. I rarely engage the 2” travel bump stop.
Single rate springs don’t require the addition of bump spacers like many dual rate springs.

I am pretty sure this is correct:
392 Xtreme Recon shocks:
Front: 68546614AD
Rear: 68546615AC

From Mopar site

Brand:
SKU:68382846AD
Other Names:Shock Absorber Kit
Description:
Rear.
Replaces:68382846AB, 68382846AC
The 2022 Rubicon XR is definitely higher, I "think" 2.5", the 2025 version is higher, I am not sure how much

There are a lot of good aftermarket options that will actually improve your ride. Fox 2.0 is one of them. There’s no need to spend more. You likely won’t like the ride of more expensive shocks meant for aggressive off road driving. You can likely find some lightly used ones from someone who is wanting to upgrade to more aggressive shocks. Just be sure the lengths are correct for your stock height vehicle. Those meant for 2-3” lift are the right choice for a 392 FE.
Correct, Austin from northridge 4x4 has a killer deal on the bilsteins with resi for 1500 for all 4 and these are the 8100"s chrome looking setup

Will the Falcon 3.3 piggyback fit in wheel well without having to be cut? I am stock height as well.

I have a 2021 Jeep 392 NON XR. Stock suspension. Stock lift.
I am looking for the same Fox Shocks that were put on at the factory without going through the dealership to avoid paying their prices.
I emailed Fox asking to purchase them directly. They replied saying something to the effect of not being able to go through them for those exact shocks. Have to go through the dealership.
I asked them to recommend the FOX equivalent that I could buy directly from them. I received no reply.
What's the big secret?
I'm sure Fox sells the same shock with a non Jeep exclusive Serial number.
Any one know it?

I have the factory shocks off my 2025 final edition 392 here in a box. They have 2k miles

The best way to avoid confusion when ordering shocks is to raise your vehicle by the frame until the tire is off the ground. Measure the shock length from bolt center to bolt center. Then measure the amount of exposed shaft. Go to the Fox site, filter to your jeep, and select the right length using your measurements.

I do have the XR pkg. What is involved with adjusting the bump stops?
Go with the bilstein 8100 dsa 2-3" lift version because that's what we actually have! I just finished the fronts and I also thought the bumpstops could be an issue! NO ISSUE AT ALL! read my review!
