Order Timeline

Its seems like VINs are coming in about two days after order, and Jeep is pumping the builds out within a couple weeks after order, but then the built vehicles are sitting somewhere waiting for parts which is either add on stuff we all ordered or perhaps waiting for the Semi Conductor chip sets

Yep, 1-3 days to get a VIN I believe :)

Gotcha...did ya'll find that the dealer reached back with vin or do you have to actually contact them or someone else to get the vin?
I know when i had to order my Raptor, it was like pulling teeth to get any info from the dealership. In the end using different websites out there i was able to follow it thru the build process and found myself a lot of times telling the dealer what the status was. I remember even calling them telling them that i know it has been delivered and i'm coming to get it. They wanted to hold it over the weekend and i was like nah, go ahead and run it thru the wash and i'll be there in an hour. I was like, after 6 months you think you would be excited to call me to tell me it at least had arrived but nothing.

My VIN came in an auto generated email from Jeep. If your dealer has their act together, you should just get the auto emails.

Dealer placed order and sent me an order sheet almost immediately with VON#. However, I had to reach out to them to get the VIN#, but they responded pretty quickly. Over all, I don't hear anything unless I reach out to them. My status has not changed though (still stuck in D with a 10/28 order), so no reason for them to contact me otherwise.

I check Jeep Chat every couple of weeks... same response. Still gathering parts. 392 XR.

Welcome @GregeXa ! and Congrats? Did yours come in as a '22?
Also - the bigger question - was it an XR?

I just spoke with jeep chat today and they advised initial build is complete and at the body vendor for add ons then will be complete. Does anyone know what add-ons are performed at the body vendor? My order is white XR with 1/2 doors, one touch top, doors off mirrors and trailer tow. Order date 10/23/21

Cody ad Dan Deery just updated me - JB status which means putting on decals and bumper and soon ready to ship!!

Ugh! You guys are killing me!
My "first '22 order day" of the 8th of October must be delayed due to... cargo rail system! Yeah, that has to be the delay. All the other builds with every other option are moving right along. ***sigh***

But congrats all! Post pics taking delivery! I can still live vicariously through y'all!

Damn, Yukon...... I really do not know how you keep it together. I'm pretty sure most of us would have been out of control on Stelantis by now!!

It's tough! And I get nowhere with Stelantis... just that they say the standard "we're prioritizing", "escalating", "here's a case ID.".. blah, blah, blah. But I take solace in the fact there's plenty of others in the same boat. All of us have no idea why certain ones have no date in sight and others have already been built. But hey, misery loves company right? We all support each other on here... and believe me, that helps! A LOT!

Nope, same order day as you, Yukon, and no cargo rail system. Also, no Jeep!

I would love to have *some* idea of what gets some Jeeps pulled, and others not. And why on earth are these high profit 392s not getting built *faster*. We're not talking about many thousands of Jeeps here...

And yes, maybe the "8-12" weeks I was told when ordering hasn't left the best taste in my mouth about the entire process and I'm nowhere near the wait that others have had.

Just talked to my salesman. I'm in D1 and have gone into production with an expected production finish date of 2/19. He cautioned that transportation might be affected by the Canadian truck strike.

Cool, good to hear that they’re making progress with your build!
Mine hit JB early this week :)

It is pretty annoying to not have any idea whatsoever as to why an order hasn't moved but orders that came in afterwards seem to be progressing. I think as consumers we tend to think production should be FIFO, but apparently that isn't how it works. We have to factor in availability of parts and I am sure there is some black box formula of dealer allocation and favoritism that comes into play as well.
