Short drive, air temp 71 degrees coolant 206 ,oil temperature got up to 220 . That seems a bit high . I was driving conservatively. 18 miles tops . Short sections of 55 mph ,the rest twenty five to 45 mph . Fresh oil change in September. Hardly any miles on that oil .

Any thoughts,thanks

Sounds about right to me. Maybe even on the low side

My limited experience with my Moab (6,000 miles), I have seen 220°F regularly. I have seen 230°F and a bit higher on a hot 90°F+ day while stuck in traffic. I keep the offroad pages gauge view up at all times except when changing some CarPlay settings. I will have to look at interstate cruising speeds.

One thing to remember, it takes a lot longer to cool engine oil when compared to the time for reducing engine coolant temperatures.

Thanks good to know . My off road pages are always open while wheeling.👍🍿🍻
