Nav System - What am I missing?

I did the soft reboot as suggested here and that seems to have fixed the issue.....

Have you gone to 'Apps' > 'Projection Manager'?
Make sure that 'Enable Projection' is ON
Below that should be a list of phones that have been connected (at least your phone)
Tap on the expand symbol to the right of your phone '>'
Make sure 'Enable Apple CarPlay' is selected

Simply won't work. Phone works in other vehicles. Other phones do not work in the 392 either. I have used every port available and half dozen different cords. Would not work on my iPhone 13Pro or my 15 Pro. Did work at one time with my 13Pro. I've tried soft reboot as well as disconnecting the battery to force new setup. Phones are up to date on IOS. Phone will charge when plugged in but no CarPlay. I've posted here and Facebook and so far no suggestions that I have not already tried.

I tried the temp up/down button thing but it didn't seem to work. Maybe I need to try again. I did disconnect the battery thinking it would have the same affect.

I have been having trouble with GPS and Apple CarPlay recently. Coming from the tech industry I looked around the internet on how to reset uConnect. Turns out there are many uConnect reset procedures depending on the model. I got off the phone with uConnect this morning and would like to confirm...

I usually use the iPhone app for directions, but I decided to check out the Nav System on the Jeep.

WTF? Let me preface this by saying I'm probably an idiot and there is something simple that I'm just missing, but I cannot get this thing to work at all.

When I try to input an address, I bring up the NAV screen, hit destination and it asks for a city. I start to enter letters and a list of cities pop up, I pick one and hit 'OK', the city seems to disappear and something on top says address. When I try to type an address in it defaults to one choice and one choice only.

Can someone direct me?

Download Waze and use AppleCar Play or Android Auto.

I never use the OEM navigation.

Hopefully you can get it sorted out, I've been glad to have the built-in nav, quirks & all, as a second opinion, as back-up to a phone and when my plans have changed off-grid /out of cell service.

That is exactly like the BMW system (and my 2021 392). It is a little confusing but once you get the hang of it you realize it is helping you with only valid selections available for that map area. Car Play work just fin in it too on 3 different iPhones (10x - 15 pro).

That aside how does one dim the navigation brightness at nite ? That button does not populate only the day time brightness is displayed

What I have noticed in my 24' is the interior wheel light dimmer switch changes brightness on the big screen. I also selected always dark in the settings of the screen.
