My 2024 AEV was stolen last night!

Maybe because I am on iphone, but i do jot see any videos files in this thread

There was a 392 stolen a couple weeks ago a few miles from my house. It was at a restaurant on a Friday evening about 6pm. The only way I can figure how they did it so quickly was to clone the key.

I bought a NoLimitz to protect the Jeep, at least from key cloning.

Interested to find out how your Jeep was stolen.

Main reason I also bought the NoLimitz module and also use the Tazer anti-theft settings including the Tazer Shield lock box. If they want it badly enough they'll still get it but these should delay them.

Thanks for the advice. I did order another Jeep and I'm looking into all the options.

I installed this on my TRX. I also have a cable lock around the fuse box and a Mobilistics relay installed. And I park in a locked shop. My wife didn't want to go through the PIN process for the Ampire so the 392 just has hood locks and a Mobilistics relay. Startup is easy with the push button fob.
Any chance you could post a pic of which fuse to replace with the mobilistics relay? I ordered mine around a year ago and admittedly never installed it but I'm going to set it up today. This thread has me paranoid.

OP, so sorry that this happened to you and I hope insurance treats you well.

I have AAA insurance. AAA is more expensive but based on previous experience, it's extra money well spent. I expect to get a replacement Jeep in two to three months. I was a little pissed off when Jeep announced that they were coming out with a second Final Addition. But now, I'm thankful. Ironic!

Unfortunately the 392 is in a shipping container or across the border by now.

This (black relay, marked with X) is the location:

Our 392 had an attempt to get stolen. They just walked up, unlocked door and then tried to drive off. This was around 6pm and it’s usually garaged but I just was inside for an hour or so before I had to leave again. The Tazer locked all 4 wheels and I heard them Revi g the engine trying to counter it. They made it about 50 feet down the road then ran on foot. In my case the Tazer worked since they didn’t know how to deal with it.
Do you think they used a relay attack?

I have been using the Tazer Pin lock now when I park it outside.

Have you tried using Uconnect to locate it? If I recall, with a police report, uconnect can locate it if your app doesn’t show its location. They sometimes let it sit and test if it’s being tracked before continuing to steal it.
I have a taser and use the pin lock all the time, even when in my garage. I do figure most Jeep thieves know about the taser and could probably remove it easily then drive away. It is good for some cases, glad you had it set. I think my favorite part of it is the carjack feature. If the key fob leaves the vehicle it will lock them also. I always have the fob in my pocket.

Exactly. UConnect/the Jeep app can locate it.
This happened to me and my Jeep was recovered.
EVERYONE needs to set up what is now the Jeep app. with the upgraded location services. It's worth every, single, penny.
IT CAN BE ACTIVATED AT ANY TIME.
OP You need to call immediately.

My Jeep had LoJack but due to a clerical error at the dealership it was not activated in my name. After frantic phone calls to LoJack and Sirius (who runs the Jeep app now) both companies were able to remotely turn "on" full GPS tracking on my 392. At that point they report to the police department only, but the next day my 392 was located by San Diego PD. It was pinged one exit away from the Mexican border. I don't know if it was the Jeep app or LoJack that found it but I suspect it was actually the same satellite because both apps. updated at the same time. (I couldn't see the location; only prior history.)
DO IT. NOW. It's literally the difference between losing your Jeep and finding it. There is no chance I'd have gotten my Jeep back without these services and the help of San Diego PD.

Jeep needs to do what Dodge did with the Hellcat and several other models and make it an option if you want to have your RF Hub locked at the dealer. This way these knuckle heads with a programmer can’t clone your key.

Yes, im guessing because I was nearby with key just in my pocket at the time. Otherwise every night my 392 is garaged with another vehicle parked in front of garage door. I also put my key in a case to block the signal.

Sad to see this so common, you would think stelantis can help somehow. Otherwise I can see a class action lawsuit potentially like when Kia/Hyundai’s were being stolen easily (https://kiatheftsettlement.com/)
I wonder if it's 'relay' style attack for the OP and the other that happened at a restaurant. I've read in another post, the theft happened at a gas station, the owner went inside to buy something, and then he saw his TRX driving off. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I've read you can't clone a key fob; you can assign brand new key fobs at the dealer, but not clone existing fobs.

It's usually a two person job, the first person with an amplifying device stand outside your house / restaurant / gas station (as close as possible to your key fob), and the 2nd person stand close to the car, constantly checking if the doors will unlock when they hold the door handle, and once it unlocks it also means it can be started and they can drive off.

I have a 2024 392 FE and I turned off that auto unlock door setting when i hold the door handle. This may help stop a 'relay' style attack since the doors will not auto-unlock. I miss it tho. I read this is one way manufactures try to help on this theft issue. Some manufactures added an auto-power off thing on the key fob when it's not in motion, so if your key is just in a drawer close to your front door, it's off and won't send any signal. Hope this is helpful.

My 2024 AEV was stolen last night from in front of my home and the theft was captured on my surveillance cameras. From the time the thief broke the rear window, until he drove off. it took a total of 11 minutes. As you can imagine, my heart is broken. Once the insurance process is complete I will try to buy a new one. You can be certain that if i get a new one, it will have all the antitheft measures available.

Sorry for your loss. I have a couple of Kubotas and the dealership sells a tracking device/service along with a starter disengagement feature. I had one installed on my 392, and disengage the starter when I'm not driving it. It also has a feature to text me anytime it starts. Tracking is real time.

On your next one get a anti theft system. The one I had just installed in mine is from Compustar plus a kill switch. I also have a The Club for the brake pedal or clutch pedal. I hope you get another one.
