Hey All! Update. 30+ days in and I got it back yesterday afternoon! Only to have to come back because the tech forgot to plug in my passenger headlamp.
Anyway, the issue turns out was a pinched wiring harness. That was a lot of head scratching and waiting for a tech to find it by happenstance. What an ordeal. See y'all out there. Thanks for the support.

@gr1p and @Earl 392, I'll post as soon as I get it back and everything is good. I have an idea of what happened but until the dealership says it's fixed I can't be certain.

So my initial idea what I thought happened was the unit [pcm] over heated because I shut the vehicle off while on the trail to save fuel. Thought because the fans weren't moving air that perhaps the module died. It wasn't hot enough outside really but the 392 does generate some heat. Nope assembly error pinched harness.

Where was it pinched (photo). After market work or something from the factory in an area where we can inspect ours for potential issues thanks

Not clear on where it was exactly, haven't read the service notes yet. Tech wasn't there when I picked it up to talk to. It was in engine bay and I'm told assembly error. No aftermarket work

Update: read the service notes. The offending section of the wiring harness was located in the cab on passenger side behind the dash. Harness was pinched behind a dash/HVAC bracket.
