When in range of the Jeep does the Jeep really wake up to the fob? Is there any chance there is an electric drain on the Jeep ,any evidence of electrical draw . My fob is always in range of the Jeep while parked in the garage .
I just ordered an RF pouch to keep the fob in while at home just in case there is any chance of a draw .it was posted here that a draw also happens while doors are unlocked hard to believe but any thing is possible.
I ask because I get the message that acc. Switches not available as battery charging. I have a newer battery and msg only lasts a few seconds . Jeep sits for 2 weeks sometimes.

Thanks

You may be referring a post I made a short time back. I have no empirical evidence that the battery drain occurs under the 2 scenarios you mentioned. I am basing those battery drain scenarios on the postings from both the Gladiator and JL forums. These posts were made by some older and, (in my opinion), very knowledgeable folks. I followed the faraday fob storage, door locking, and plugged into a battery charger regiments on my 23 Gladiator for almost 3 years without any battery issues.

It stands to reason that Stellantis would keep those same "features" in their other vehicles. For me it is no sweat as I keep the Jeep garaged, which makes it easy to plug in to a charger. I just use the 7-pin trailer plug to plug in a 5 amp CTEK.

Getting those Accessory Switch messages are the first sign that all is not okay in Jeep battery land. Since you have a newer battery, I would pull the battery and charge it on a 10+ amp charger and reset the IBS, (intelligent battery sensor or some such nonsense). I am not sure of the method to reset the IBS on our 392 Jeeps. To reset on the JL and Gladiator, you pull the sensor out to isolate it from the system for 15-30 mins. The sensor will then start learning the state of charge for your fresh battery.

Yes thanks I’m going to test the theory of doors locked and fob in Rf pouch . I also have rse sliders on a switch next to the battery

The Passive Entry System is activated when the FOB is within 5 feet from the door handles (reference the manual). Even this interaction has no evidence of showing battery drain on the vehicle. Keeping your FOB in a faraday pouch is only going to protect against the RF signal being captured. You have some other gremlins playing around.
