Florida would not allow "layaway" I had tried that also.Same thing happened to me @Viking Jeeper … went to put it on “layaway” just a day or two after posting it on here and it was suddenly taken.
Hmmm.. okay all you texas owners, post pics of your plates so I can find the culprit!
Just kidding all… early bird gets the worm!
Grabbed HEMICON in NC!Got my HEMICON plate coming can't wait
So when I placed my order last fall I went online to find my first vanity plate. “392 JEEP” was taken so I did “V8 JEEP” I figure more people know what a V8 is anyways. Well it turns out you can’t just reserve a license plate in my state, it has to be assigned to a specific vehicle. So my old Honda Hooptie became a V8 JEEP. I get plenty of funny looks driving down the road. I give every Jeep the Jeep wave!Same thing happened to me @Viking Jeeper … went to put it on “layaway” just a day or two after posting it on here and it was suddenly taken.

I'm kicking myself for not doing the same thing. I did not because I kept thinking the title paperwork would go through any day and I could get "392 JEEP". I was wrong. So when I placed my order last fall I went online to find my first vanity plate. “392 JEEP” was taken so I did “V8 JEEP” I figure more people know what a V8 is anyways. Well it turns out you can’t just reserve a license plate here in Ohio, it has to be assigned to a specific vehicle. So my old Honda Hooptie became a V8 JEEP. I get plenty of funny looks driving down the road. I give every Jeep the Jeep wave!In fact, I almost thought about getting some RUBICON decals for the hood. As we waited for our 392 to show up my wife and I started referring to it as The Jeep. I guess you can fake it till they make it (in Toledo).
I’m still waiting on my duplicate title to show up so I can move the plate and registration to our actual Jeep, so for now we have 2 V8 Jeeps

Haha same thing happend to me. It was 392 Jeep or Jeep 392, can't remember. One was still available like 6 weeks ago but was gone by the time I made it there. Also, we have Off Road tags available soon in Florida. They only allow a max of 5 letters though. I wanted RV8ICON but couldn't fit that on this tag so I went with RV8I instead. Almost went with 392N.I don't want to whine but I will. The day I got my 392 home I went to register a custom plate. The DMV said the title paperwork had not gone through yet and I had to wait. I checked frequently and it took a couple of weeks for that to happen and in the meantime, someone else took it. I hope I never see "392 JEEP" on the road because I'm not sure how I'm going to handle it.

Awesome plates on here. Here is the plate I took of my sold 2011 JKU waiting for my 392.
Funny we were both planning on it but someone else swooped in lol. Felt better once I learned the off road plates will only allow 5 letters though. You going to get a off road plate?6 weeks ago 392 Jeep was available but Jeep 392 was not.
I got a veteran plate and they also only allow 5 characters. While I'm certainly proud to be a veteran, I dont need to wear it on my vehicles. I got it because it is a US Flag design, already have one for my LJR.Funny we were both planning on it but someone else swooped in lol. Thank you for your service! Yea, I was going back and forth on what tag to get but once I saw the tag with a freaking Jeep on it, it was an easy decision. The 5 letters makes it hard though.I got a veteran plate and they also only allow 5 characters. While I'm certainly proud to be a veteran, I dont need to wear it on my vehicles. The sample tag was "JEEPN", as in "Jeeping", so 392n would work for us. But yea most wouldn't get it so that's why I went a different route lol. 5 letters is hard.Sorry but I cant figure out what 392N would be. Its probably obvious.....
