Jackery 300 Plus plugged in passenger outlet won’t charge

Didn’t mean to sound pedantic. I’ve meant only to note what the vendors call it on Amazon.

You were using big words and had to look it up not a lot of conversations out there to slip that one in

The Ecoflow River 2 series does that too; it's called a UPS feature.

Due to my terrible experience with EcoFlow's customer service where I had to waste three days for them to follow their own policies, I would steer clear of their products.

If you use Amazon be aware that EcoFlow won't accept returns.

I've tried the EcoFlow River 3 for my 24x7 dashcams but it wouldn't power them for more than 24hrs. Their wH rating is suspect.

I'll be testing the Bluetti AC70, hopefully with better results. It also supports UPS (charge through) ability and comes with all needed cables.

Sorry to hear that. Luckily I haven't had to deal with their customer service yet. There are some solid battery makers out there, let us know how your experience with Bluetti goes.

A 12 volt source is much more appropriate for charging these 12 volt batteries (actually 13.6 but who's counting?). The cigarette lighters should work. I ran a line from one of the Aux switches to charge the portable battery or run the refrigerator. I terminated them with XT60 connectors. Much more reliable than the cig lighter.

Received the goal zero yeti 500 yesterday. plugged into the outlet in the passenger area (3 prong outlet) it doesn't charge while driving. Waiting for the cigarette lighter with the 5a/10a selector will try that when it arrives. and it does not fit under the passenger seat as I had hoped it would....

A quick check of the specs on the goal zero website says the yeti 500 takes 240W to charge even in low speed charge mode. The AC port in the Jeep is limited to 150 watts. That outlet is not going to be a good place to charge much of any battery except cell phone or laptop. You want a 12 v source.

the ac outlet wouldn't even charge the jackery 300. what's the point of an outlet if you can't use it as such...electrical issues are not my cup of tea. is the cigarette port the only way to charge while driving ?

The cig lighter supports 13A:

IF you mean 120V from the grid, it makes sense. However, when using the Jeeps 120V there is a lot of power inefficiency to use an inverter to go from 12V to 120V, just to go then back from 120V to 12V.

Use the cig port.

Not familiar with the Jackery 300, but most battery packs have a solar charging port. That's the port that you should use to charge it. Those ports use a standard connector (at least most do), and you should be able to get a simple cable that has a male solar connector and a cig adapter at the other end.

Exactly. I didnt bring it up because a lot of people won't understand. There is a lot of loss there and it's absolutely not needed. 12 V !

I have a jackery 300 and I think it pulls right around 150 watts. The bigger issue is that you are converting 12vdc from the jeep system to 120vac then right back to 12vdc to charge the battery.
