I added sound proofing and it massively improves highway experience!

I utilized it several times, it reduces noise and heat noticeably….first on a Freightliner M2 106, under hood and under the cab as well…then under the body on a Jeep JK…reduced heat greatly and huge noise dampening effect…it does work…I also used the foil backed tar Dynamat in the floor and doors of the M2 106, combined they work very well…

Is there a noticeable difference if you don’t cover the whole floor? Figuring the firewall will be the biggest pain. Any noticeable performance difference once installed? Assuming it’s adding a hundred or so pounds to the vehicle.

Yes, if you just cover the largest bare areas it reduces noise and reverberations, the reverberation reduction is extremely noticeable, an extremely noticeable “deadening of sound waves”, if you pull your door panels there is limited access to install large pieces, but small sections covered will be very noticeable…

Absolutely huge difference. My LJR is a manual and I sometimes find that I have forgotten to shift into proper gear at speed, it's so quiet. I did not do the very bottom of the tub because I run topless almost 365 and can get rain at any time. I thought the material would hold water at the lowest areas. Not that much weight either. I used about half of this box.

I did my whole floor and there is a big difference. Both in noise/vibration reduction and in eliminating that somewhat “tinny” feel of the floor. It also adds a bit of insulation for temperature moderation in the interior.

I double treat doors. Attach as much as possible inside door (outside layer) and another layer on outer door frame (inside layer), where door panel covers.
