Been reading a lot of posts on here of people having horrible experiences with jeep service repairs. Im looking to order a 2027 MOAB soon and i want to make sure im prepared for the worst. I wont be doing any modifications or customizations and plan to get a factory warranty. I also wont be off roading this thing. Strictly street driving. Ive seen some messed up stuff where people are denied warranty claims because they took it off-roading. Also, ive seen some wacky electrical issues that cannot be fixed too. Are those not covered by warranty?

Appreciate any advice.

The dealer you purchase from makes all the difference. If there is a way to check out your nearby dealerships and see if one has a significantly better track record in regard to warranty repairs, then go with that dealership.

My 392 is highly modified and is a '22, so out of warranty anyway. But I do have a '25 2-dr JLR that was just in the dealership for a repair. It was entirely covered by warranty even though the Jeep has a Tazer installed to correct for 39" tires and has the lift needed for those tires along with aftermarket 4.88 gears in the differentials.

With the right dealership I don't think you need to be super paranoid about actually using your Jeep for, well, a Jeep. Good luck, and welcome to the Jeep community.

Thanks, the dealership i take my 24 rubicon X to has a solid service dept, but i dont know how different it will be with a performance car? Whenever ive gone there, the people are super helpful but my 24 rubicon hasnt ever had any issues other than routine maintenance. I turn the lease back in may of 2027. I plan to order the 392 around Jan/Feb.

Your dealer honored the warranty even with the mods? How'd you manage that? I doubt my dealership will be that lenient but ill talk to them in depth about the 392.
Id like to install an oil catch can on mine but im too scared to even do that.

Just remember that the warranty you buy (if it’s a factory warranty) will be a 8 year most likely and it will start the day you take delivery. So it will actually be a 5 year warranty. The first 3 years are wasted because of the factory.
