First Time Jeep Owner - 2027 Moab 392

Long time car, truck and motorcycle enthusiast. 30+ vehicles over the years, mostly Corvettes and Camaros. Could probably swap LS heads and cam in my sleep.

Was given a 4-cyl Wrangler by chance at the rental counter a week or so, and bickered the entire drive about the lack of power. Got home, boys asked if the doors came off, and we answered our own question in about 10min.

One trip as a family to drop them off at school the next day, and they we were hooked. Just couldn’t stomach the power and exhaust note.

Two days later, found a Moab 392 in ‘41 sitting on a local dealer’s lot. Fired it up, pushed the exhaust button, haven’t stopped grinning since.

New to not just the Jeep world, but Hemis as well. Only a couple hundred miles into break-in, looking forward to some off-road adventures soon.

Welcome to the forum. I’ve owned a Wrangler, in one form or the other, since the ‘80’s. Currently own a 2026 Moab 392 (mine) and a 2018 Rubicon (wife’s). Getting to old for the past mountaineering, white water rafting, SCUBA diving, and similar adventures. So today, we absolutely love the whole Jeep adventuring / over-landing thing.

Wish I would have driven (or at least ridden in) a Jeep much sooner. Drag racing and autocross were fun, but that typically meant convertibles were out.

Lots to learn about off-roading, but looking forward to the adventure. The boys are already looking forward to our next camp outing…just need to hit the exhaust switch before we get close to be a good neighbor.

I never knew what I was missing. Used to drop them off in my 2015 Z/28 (LS7 w/cam, LTs and track exhaust) on fair weather days only. Stock, I am truly impressed with the sound from this thing, and pairing a 4.56 with 4WD is arguably more fun.
