I changed mine at 500 miles but never heard the tick. Was the oil level proper prior to you change?did my first oil change 700 miles ,its been 6 months , ine had that normal hemi noises at idle , after the oil change totally quiet ,anyone else notice this after the first oil change?
Mine has always tic tic tic for about 30 -40 seconds after a cold start . Pennzoil SRTI changed mine at 500 miles but never heard the tick. Was the oil level proper prior to you change?
i dont know i never checked the oil levels before .i had the tic for 5 seconds at start up ,then just what i though weas normal hemi noise, after oil change noticbly quiet. maybe it was low .I changed mine at 500 miles but never heard the tick. Was the oil level proper prior to you change?
If Jeep was still warm after oil change the tic would not be therei dont know i never checked the oil levels before .i had the tic for 5 seconds at start up ,then just what i though weas normal hemi noise, after oil change noticbly quiet
true , but it was even quiet at idle ,which it uslly sounds a bit like a type writerIf Jeep was still warm after oil change the tic would not be there
could be the dastardly expired oil that was all the rage here a few weeks agotrue , but it was even quiet at idle ,which it uslly sounds a bit like a type writer
i did usr the white srt oil filter ,is slightly oversizedcould be the dastardly expired oil that was all the rage here a few weeks ago
really just could have been low or maybe that particular filter was not flowing as well vs the new one.
I got the Hemi valve lifter tick once after not waiting long enough after a cold start (opened the hood after remote starting it)
I do get the Hemi exhaust chirp/tick though and it varies with how hot it is out and how hot the exhaust/motor is.
Do recall what filter was on it? we have 3 filters that 'fit' a smaller one-339, larger one-899 and the white SRT one-041i did usr the white srt oil filter ,is slightly oversized
i will look in a few i still have the filter,it was like half the size of the white oneDo recall what filter was on it? we have 3 filters that 'fit' a smaller one-339, larger one-899 and the white SRT one-041
from my understanding the 899 and 041 are pretty much the same volume but the white one has a different design optimized for higher flow.

Oil Change - What Oil and Filter are you using?
Good afternoon. Simple and straight to the point. I am coming up on my first oil change on my 2023 Wrangler 392. I am curious as to what oil and filter are you using. Autozone, and just about everywhere else local does not seem to have many options for 0w40 or filters. They seem to want to...www.jeep392.com
Well known issue, fluids not filled correctly from the factory.i dont know i never checked the oil levels before .i had the tic for 5 seconds at start up ,then just what i though weas normal hemi noise, after oil change noticbly quiet. maybe it was low .
I thought that was just the diffs , oil is part of that thatWell known issue, fluids not filled correctly from the factory.
Mine was close but not full. I've seen low levels noted on diffs, TC's, transmissions, etc. I would check everything.I thought that was just the diffs , oil is part of that that
I concur it’s an exhaust chirpcould be the dastardly expired oil that was all the rage here a few weeks ago

its very annoying..... but I really dont want to take apart the whole exhaust to try and fix itI concur it’s an exhaust chirp
I think it is just expansion of the pipes from cold to getting up to tempits very annoying..... but I really dont want to take apart the whole exhaust to try and fix it
lazy>annoyed
You can’t have exhaust chirp if there’s no exhaust on it.its very annoying..... but I really dont want to take apart the whole exhaust to try and fix it

so after sitting overnight ,no tic on startup ,or idle at all .oil filter has a slight drip ,retighten with filter wrench.its hard to tighten by hand as its so big ,unless u have, seinfeld man hands
She had man hands
