I might be the only one bothered by this so I will keep it short. I used to be able to tell if a JL 392 was coming at me on the road, not anymore with the performance hood option now available on every model of JL. The 392 used to be special with a hood scoop (except for the Mojave), not anymore! I wish Jeep would not have offered this but money talks. Tell me I'm not the only one that is annoyed by this or am I being upset for no reason.

I believe it at least started with a supply issue on the normal hoods, not sure if that is still the case.

Yes jeep does no loyalty favors for anyone.

Forgive me as I'm sure I'm about to hurt some feelings (maybe my own after the comments )...but this is how I feel about the MOAB 392 too....

Perhaps it's my ego knowing I have "true" 392 Rubicon, but something just rubs me the wrong way when I see/ hear what I think is a unicorn of a Rubicon 392 in my travels only to reveal its a MOAB, or just a sport with a mismatched NON- functional hood scoop.

I guess I’m in the opposite camp. I like the fact I blend in more and it is harder to quickly identify a 392 vs a ‘regular’ jeep.

It makes it just that much harder for a thief to target my vehicle.

If only Jeep did not put holes in the hood for the 392 badge, they would have already been removed.

Waving used to be a really cool back in the TJ days. I don't bother waving in my 392. I tried it when I was in my JK, but no other jeeps (other JKs at the time) really waved back when I was doing it, so I stopped.

When I drive around in my LJ or YJ, I'll wave at TJs, YJs, CJs, and some of the built JKs and LJs. No longer do I just wave when I see another jeep on the road. Those days ended when I sold my 97 back around 2008.

It's definitely ego, and I know it because I feel the same way .
