Dual -Top Group

Drove an M151 for over a year in Germany, soft top. Married a gal with a 95 YJ soft top, had my own 81 CJ soft top. Replaced the YJ with an 05 LJUR dual top, spent too many years storing a monster of a hard top for why, finally sold it. Now own a 392 with dual top because no need for the hard top, or anything close. Soft top generally down, hard top cinched against the top of the garage, doors off, and living the Jeep life. I’m in FL and sure, summer rainy season will see more doors and top up time, but quickly stowed. Even worst of days down south is nothing a soft top can’t handle. You can’t beat a completely open Jeep but when the few days won’t allow, flip it up.

I ordered mine without any other tops. Decided to buy aftermarket if and when the time comes.

Removed hard top and doors this weekend. Installed the Alienshade. Enjoyed the Couple days naked. Put the sot top on today just to get it in place. Easier than the JK top. We’ll see how well this top holds up at 90 mph.
overall, seems like a better design.

It’ll hold up just fine. I have the alien sunshades and keep the soft top stowed just in case I hit a summer Florida rain. Mine may never see the hard top again.

I considered the 1 Touch. Even the dealer cautioned me as they said about 1/2 have been coming back with issues, leaks, being stuck open, etc.
Damn. Thats good to know. Theoretically it seems so sweet. So frustrating they can't engineer the 1 touch (amongst other things) better.
