There is little that protecting the the OBD will secure. The biggest risk has been the ability to clone keys via the STAR port (behind the glovebox). That was the biggest selling point of the Russian device, IGLA, preventing against cloning.

The new TSB will protect against that eliminating the biggest security risk for the JL. See jlwranglerforum for more.

Yes, unless you go with one of those South African electrified fences nothing will stop a flatbed to steal your track. Good luck with IGLA doing that, although, some might not know that IGLA is also the name of a Russian ballistic missile, so maybe it will fire one.
