392 Final Edition Production

I made the mistake of telling a factory guy once that all like colors were built at the same time. He asked what made me think that the color was the controlling element to the critical path construction of a build... Apparently someone has done the research and found that the cost to clean spray nozzles... is not as critical as other elements of the scheduling! I just also had a pre-conceived idea.
So after researching, the Toledo plant has the ability to paint in 10 different colors simultaneously…So I am perplexed to their scheduling process..At this point IDK…

I am curious, what did you order?

I am so close to pulling the trigger, but can't decide if I should get the SOT and what color to get.

Thank you!
Get the SOT. Best thing ever. It’s so easy to have open top every time we drive the Jeep.

lol, you won't be opening it every day here in Texas...In the summer, you would get 3rd degree burns!!!

I opted for the hard top instead of SOT because I prefer it for winter and then switching to a soft top for summer. It is also easier to go completely topless. I also I didn't like the look of having to leave the rear lift gate there when the rear side windows are removed when removing the doors.

Order Hydro Blue yesterday, exact build as my 2021 392. WIll update with timelines when I hear from my dealer.

I am so on the fence about the SOT, I love it in my 23 392, but I would like it to be quieter (I know Jeeps and quiet don't go together) I am up in the air on Anvil or Earl.

I think Tuscadero is beautiful, not sure I could pull the trigger on it though. Congrats!
My JL Rubi has a SOT. I purchased a used 2022 392, I miss my SOT. I thought with the Jeep 392 being so powerful that a hard top would be best. Now that I picked out my lift and parts ect, and I'm ready to start new project - I keep thinking sell the 2022 - 392 and pick up one with the SOT.

This is what I worry about.
I had a hardtop, then ordered the SOT, but with the 24, that I will keep at least 10-15 years, I can’t decide. I want the quietness of the hardtop. But am worried I’ll miss the SOT.

I do love the SOT, use it all the time and would only have concern if the vehicle sat outside all the time and the sun did damage. Never shut the exhaust valve so kind of like the noise it makes. Also have had soft top Jeeps in the past and the SOT is much quieter.

I test drove a 2024 4xe with the SOT. With no ICE noise in the way, I found the SOT to be quiet at 60 mph. Others say earlier models have noise so maybe they improved it for 2024? I rode in a 2024 392 with hard top and also just as quiet. So, I couldn't tell a difference between hardtop and SOT.
I now have a 2024 392 with SOT and It's not noisy to me at all. In fact, when closing it while driving, the last moment when it seals shut is where you will notice the drop in noise. Like closing the lid on a tomb, kinda. LOL. Completely happy with it.

I have not driven earlier model years to know how noisy they are/were so receive my input FWIW.

I honestly don't notice a difference in noise, I thought it was going to be much hotter (we live in Vegas) but it really wasn't. Its not the same as a full soft top where it's like driving around in a plastic bubble and loud road noise. They do make panel inserts for the SOT but I didn't need them. Every time we get in the 392 my husband mentions he misses the SOT and it drives me crazy because I should have waited for a SOT 392.
