What did you do to your Jeep 392 today? 🛠️

On level ground the front is 42" exact and the rear is 41.5". So I guess I gained an inch?
On my XR that would be a 1.5” gain up front and a 1.0” gain in back. Killer !

Just ordered the AEV JL rear diff skid plate...they finally released it.

Very similar to Metal Cloak but way more expensive. Not nearly as heavy duty as next venture similar in price. NV is a bit more. And NV makes one for the front too.
Yes, MC is very similar, but not quite the same. IMHO, it's not built as well. The axle tab design looks weak and the U-bolts are not positioned on the diff collar like AEV. Also, MC's version doesn't cover the drive shaft as far as AEV's does. I like NV's stuff, beefy but I don't like using the diff cover bolts as an anchoring point. Engineering...in this case, you get what you pay for!

That said, I will probably buy NV's rear shock/control arm skids...those are bad a$$.

Was waiting for an AEV rear differential skid plate. Glad to see it. Now hoping that my rear axle truss is compatible with the U-bolts mounted over the differential collar. 🙄

NV tech support told me that their differential skid is not compatible with the AEV differential covers. Same with MC.

That stinks...It appears NV & MC designed them for the OEM covers and didn't plan ahead for anything else. You might be able to customize it. I find stuff all the time that says, doesn't fit SOT, etc...bologna!

The MC and possibly the AEV skids can be welded to the trussed axle.

I did my first wash and wax. I did not do paint correction yet, I just want to make her look pretty and give some protection.

I sure love this color!

Couldn't find that color so went with my next favorite, Sarge Green. You got her looking sharp!
