Greetings you’ll, I had a question. Has anyone installed 37’ tires on their Jeep Wrangler 392 XR using the factory rims without any adjustments or modifications to their bumper or wheel wells. I’d like to upgrade my 35’ tires for 37’ BF Goodrich AT. Also will the tire fit the rear gate without any issues. Can you adjust the 3rd break light as well. Thank you 🙏🏻

Slap the 37's on it and drive it like you stole it. No issues unless you're doing pretty serious offroading.

BFG 37 AT or MT no issues driving or on the tailgate. You can wheel as well. Might rub a little in the inner fenders but nothing big.

I've looked at this too... the XR wheels are 17x8.0 and the 37x12.5R17 KO2's are designed to fit a 17x8.5 wheel minimum. I'm not saying it's impossible, it's just something to think about. The section width for a 315/70R17 is 12.7" compared to the 37x12.5R17 at 12.5" so you should be good there. You may need add an adaptor to raise the spare up a bit.

You just need to raise the 3rd brake light by moving it up one bolt hole and should be good.

Just did 37 KO2’s on non XR stock wheels. Added the Mopar spare adapter and deleted the third brake light bracket and added the Jeep grill 3rd brake light kit that mounts in the center of the spare. No lift or any suspension mods… YET. but they are coming. No issues whatsoever.

Right on BFG's site for the 37X12.5 X17 the rim widths are both 8" to 11" Min/Max.

37x12.5x17 BFG's on stock 392 no spacers, no bump stop adjustments no issues. Keep in mind it has not been off road, but it's perfectly fine on road.

Did you need adjust the speedo with Tazer for tire size?

I used the JScan app and the vgate linker

I did put the extension cable on because it's a total PIA to get to the security module so one was enough!
Thanks for the information. That's one reason that I hesitate to go big with 37" since I don't want to use any of these programmers/apps. They can be handy for certain things, I want to keep things simple and don't want to mess up with the computer. Maybe I'll have to down the road if I decide to go up with 37'.

The JScan isn't too bad you do have to spend a few bucks to make it work. The XR package looks awesome the way it is. I found a heck of a deal on the 37's and sold the 315's with 0 mi. I probably won't be off road at least not anytime soon, If that changes there will be a lot of changes made due to lifting and adding 38's! So I like the driveability now. Just to let you know the 37's actually measured at 35 with 32 PSI on the gauge, 35psi on the dash. So the BFG's do run small. When I changed the size in the computer it did shift better, i've been contimplating changing it to a little taller to see if I can get it into 8th gear sooner.

The JScan is the simplest way to adjust TPMS and tire size. You just unplug and plug in The bypass cable and attach the BT reader. Change settings in 4 places and then unplug. Nothing to marry or mess with screens etc.

Thanks! Yes I've been ignoring the low tire pressure alert... The speedo/gps adjustment with bigger tires is definitely something I don't want to ignore.

I have about $60 in my Jscan set up and has worked fine so far. Just did a 2022 392 about 2 weeks ago for TPMS and tire size….
