Just spoke with my dealership about my ordered XTreme Recon 392…
She gave me my VIN and said it is scheduled to start production any day, and should be at my dealership within 4-6 weeks, possibly sooner.
This is comforting news.✌🏼😎

Congrats and good luck! The length of the wait is totally dependent on the options selected I guess. I have been at D status for seven weeks. 😩 Four to six weeks would be super fast, especially since Xtreme Recon production is not scheduled to begin until next month.

I have faith in the info my dealership tells me.
When I received my present 392, it was here 2 days earlier than when they said it would arrive. She said she would have a target date by Friday of the exact day.✌🏼

I really hope your dealer is right, I got my order in on July 3rd, and got my VIN 5 days later. So far no guesstimate from my dealer on a delivery date.

Does anybody know for 100% certainty that the recon package on the 392 stays 2”?

Car and driver said:

"1.5-inch suspension lift with retuned dampers will support the Wrangler Rubicon, while the 392 makes do with its standard 2.0-inch lift."

But not sure anyone really knows. I Think they are right it will be the same lift as the original 392's probably if not for any other reason than it is cheaper to use what they have designed already for the 392. It don't make sense to redesign the suspension this soon. The recon package is mandatory now on the 392. If they changed it the original suspension would only have a 1/2 year run. Not enough Return on investment.

I may be wrong but I suspect the additional 1/2" on the standard Rubi may be a 1/2" spacer.

thanks so much.

I read that as well and that’s what I’m going on. I was able to add the package and wanted to make sure it was the 2”, as to add 37s when the 35s wear out.

I had the same feeling when mine arrived earlier than expected, delivered right from the manufacture in Ohio on a 3 car trailer I think it was 4-5 days early
Question for you, you currently have a 392 Rubicon, are you trading it in for the Recon Rubicon? or are you going to have 2 really cool Jeeps to drive around in
Thanks

I will be trading my current 392 for the XTreme Recon 392.
I ordered the XTreme about 6 weeks ago.
I actually sold my 2014 AEV 5.7 to a friend.
It’s taken me a bit to “bond” with the JL platform.
The 392 vs the 5.7 is a HUGE plus and the 6.4 is absolutely a hoot to drive and totally effortless with tons of power to spare.
The AWD of this JL platform is “different” to say the least.
it’s taken me about 1600 miles in the 392 to really appreciate the difference.

The JK was a completely different driving Jeep compared to this JL.
The ride and handling of this AWD JL platform is really awesome compared to the JK.
I’m use to a 4.5” lift and 37’s so I’m really looking forward to the Recon arriving and slapping some 37’s on her without having to do any mods. It usually takes me a minute to study/stare/think about what I want my Jeep to look like.
The feel and look of 37” tires make me smile, so that will be the first thing I do
Jeeps are like crack to an addict… and I’m totally addicted.💪🏼😎
