Thank you!

Johnny if you can’t find one on here, take a look at:

MP Concepts Tailgate Reinforcement and Oversize Spare Tire Carrier Mounting Bracket Kit (18-22 Jeep Wrangler JL)

It’s a duplicate of the Mopar one for ALOT less money

Thank you for the heads up! Cheapest I've found the Mopar one with the Jeep badge was $540 shipped for new.

Go with the MP concepts one. I’ve been running it for over a year without any issues. I’ll post a pic for reference… it’s legit a copy of the Mopar one and around $350

This seems like a good thread to ask this question.....

When I purchased my 392, it came with 285/70 tires. We all know these are too small for the 392, at least I think so. Unfortunately, with the cost replacing these tires, ~$1200ish, I'm going to ride the 285's until next spring when I will replace all 5 with 315/70's. My question is, will the tire carrier bracket on my Jeep which now holds the spare 285/70 be large enough to hold the new spare tire sized at 315/70 or do I need to buy the oversized spare tire bracket? I'm already planning on buying the tailgate reinforcement bracket.

Thanks

Great question, as ours came with that size as well. We ended up selling the OEM wheels / tires for a good price and found a set of take off XR 315s and paired them with a set of WELD wheels.

You should be fine with the XR bracket itself and the spacers.

This is a complete kit that has been very popular for our customers as well with 35inch or taller tires. https://www.jeep392.com/threads/now...r-kit-spare-tire-mounts-justboltons-com.2884/

With the OEM reinforcement bracket and the BFG KO2’s it touches the bumper at the bottom a little but works. Maybe give it a try first. It’s easy to take the wheel off and just the tire carrier to add the spacer kit. Let the air out of the tire until you get the spacer kit if it rubs too much.

I have a factory XR oversized tire bracket available. I would like to get something for it. Bring a case of beer or something. I can ship for cost of shipping. I can deliver to Western Washington and maybe Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Oregon if you’re willing to wait a bit.
